22.01.2022 All 457 visa holders: These days many employers are getting sanctioned by Immigration, or selling/restructuring their businesses and this is resulting in serious consequences for 457 visa holders and those who have lodged their 186 PR or nearing 2 years employment. 21.01.2022 Just to inform all friends that the 457 visa is now replaced with new TSS visa sub class 482 from Monday 18 March 2018. Many other rules for PR visa the Employer Sponsored route are amended and more changes are still expected. Old 457 holders are protected.

21.01.2022 Australia to introduce 5 year visa for elderly parents from 1.7.2017 Currently, there are two paths of visa for parents of both citizens of Australia and permanent residents. 18.01.2022 For those of you thinking of calling parents on parent visas: Your income requirements have changed drastically from April 2018 (even if your parents applied years back). Minimum taxable income for a couple to apply for 2 parents is approx $115,000. Many sponsors will not qualify. Also if one person sponsors his/her parents, other can not. 15.01.2022 Hi everyone Student Visa changes from 1 July 2016 The student visa process including adding dependents is being changed w.e.f 1/7/2016. Most applications would be made online unless there are technical issues in lodgement. Also assessment levels are being scrapped and a new secret system to determine risk profile is generated based on the type of degree/diploma, country of origin and the college name. So English and Finance requirements would vary depending upon which college student wants to study. More details would be available later on.

12.01.2022 How many times new student visa can be applied if existing visa expires but within 28 days of expiry? Just once now, not like earlier.

12.01.2022 457 Visa: RPL If you are thinking of applying for a 457 visa under a Trade (like cook, carpenter, painter etc) based on RPL, you have to be very careful. Do not select the course and college without expert advice. The immigration department is being very selective on RPL certificates. So talk to us before you think of doing RPL.

11.01.2022 Are you holding a 457 visa and your 2 years employment with your employer may end before 30 June 2017? Then lodge your PR when eligible, otherwise after 1 July 2017 IELTS may change to 6 each.

11.01.2022 485 visa selection If you wish to apply for a 485 visa, there are two streams with different requirements. If you apply for a work stream, then you would need a skill assessment for 485 visa and that may have stricter English language requirements. Say for Accounting you would need IELTS score of 6.0 each (or equivalent), which is higher than Immigration requirement for 485 visa. If you apply for Graduate Work stream, there are stricter requirements of what course you should study and there is cut off date of first student visa grant.

09.01.2022 You all know rules for Employer Sponsored temporary and permanent visas are going to change any time this month. Look for updates as rules change. Immigration has said more than 30% of 186 from 457 visa and more than 50% of RSMS visas are being rejected.

06.01.2022 5 Years Study in English: 186 PR from 457: English Exemption It appears there is a different and new definition that immigration is adopting that would disqualify most people who thought they qualified. In the end, safest bet would be to get IELTS 6.0 in each band or equivalent.

04.01.2022 Partner Visas You would know there is a very long delay in above temporary and permanent visa categories. In case of PR applications, there are reports that immigration is contacting parents/brothers/sisters in India/Nepal to verify the relationship. There are reports of many visa refusals in such cases and finally the Tribunals have to decide. If in some cases, if the child is more than 18 years old, they can even telephone the child to see if he/she is studying or working and if living with parents. Response to the questions will decide the childs fate. So its very important to consult before lodging these applications, there are many wheels within wheels.

But this visa has complications of when you got married or started a relationship Vs the date when you lodged your own visa. Funds and Genuine Temporary Entrant criteria are very important issues. 02.01.2022 Selecting a course for student visas Many a time students ask a question what course they must study. While asking this question they must remember what interests them and how will they make use of this course back home if they are unable to get sponsored or get independent skilled visas in Australia. Some education agents recommended Hair Dressing, Motor Mechanic, Dental Technician, brick layer courses in the past and in most of these courses, it is not easy to get any prac...tical experience to get a skill assessment of get a sponsorship easily. These days courses like Accounting and IT also cause problems for students, these occupations need at least 70 points for a skilled visa 189/190. So talk to us if you are not sure what to select, just do not go blindly by an education agents advice.

01.01.2022 Australian Citizenship Changes If you are a PR for one year and qualify before 19/4/2017, but have not applied yet, you may be affected by changes. However, these changes are not yet law unless Senate approves them to apply from 19/4/2017. Senate may approve law as of 1/1/2018. So if you qualify and risk some fees, you may apply now, who knows you may get it as well. Or you may not. Probably its best to apply as fee is not much.
