25.01.2022 Today is the official opening day of Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary. Atlantis is very proud and privileged to have been a part of creating such a unique and special facility. For the past year we have been working closely with the wonderful team from Port Stephens Council to help create the Sanctuary Story Walk, a 250-metre meandering pathway through the bushland grounds of the sanctuary. Atlantis hand crafted ten, larger than life, fibreglass koala sculptures. Each piece tel...ls the story of koalas, with the goal of conservation through education. The sculpture walk is just one small part of the multimillion-dollar facility, complete with a modern, state-of-the-art koala hospital and the Newcastle Airport Skywalk. 21.01.2022 We were also asked to create a plaque for Port Stephens Council. We used the same carved driftwood, and cast a clear (with blue die) over it. It was then polished into the shape of a wave. Sorry, no LED on this one
