20.01.2022 Lets Talk Smoke Detectors Did you know your smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years? Many should have an installation date or a manufactured date listed inside the cover. Did you know by law your house should have a minimum of 2 smoke detectors installed? Did you know that unless you are selling or taking up a new rental agreement you do not need hardwired smoke detectors. HOWEVER it is HIGHLY recommended that you swap to hardwired and interconnecte...d. This means if 1 goes off the other immediately goes off, rather than waiting for the smoke to travel like battery operated detectors. Hardwired detectors give extra assurance when it comes to the ongoing safety of you and your family.
