19.01.2022 John’s involvement with ATMA started with the NSW branch in 1963, their formative year. Soon after John’s work took him to Western Australia from 1964 1970, however upon his return John promptly joined ATMA NSW as a member. He served as Secretary to Mr. Rod Dalton for 3 years in the 1970’s and then continued as a valued member of the NSW Branch. John has been a Tutor for the NABIM Correspondence Course handling Modules 5 & 7 for the last 18 years. Initially under the guida...nce of the Flour Millers Council of Australia, nabim is now co-ordinated by ATMA and has done so since 2010. John’s contribution to the milling industry through education and guidance to other millers, particularly the younger generation has been enormous and invaluable. Ask many millers who their greatest mentor is in this industry and John McCorquodale’s name will appear many times. Given’s John’s knowledge, network and willingness to give back to the industry, John was invited to sit on the Program Committee of the Australasian Milling Conference from 2008 to 2014. The ATMA Committee wish to acknowledge John’s invaluable contribution to the milling industry, ATMA NSW and to the national association ATMA Inc. John has therefore received Life Membership of the Australian Technical Millers Association on the 5th day of April, 2017. See more

04.01.2022 Along with former Executive Officers Graeme Lukey and Andy Lee, Trevor Gardner has been the backbone to ATMA for almost two decades. On the 23rd February 2017 the committee recognised his remarkable contribution with a Life Membership of our Association. Over many years he has been a representative on the ATMA Committee and further, on the Australasian Milling Conference Committees as a representative for ATMA. Remarkably, Trevor has filled every position on the ATMA Commi...ttee. Often filling more than one role at a time. Trevor has been part of some very significant and important decision making that has kept our Association both viable and financially sound. Nearly two decades ago, Trevor joined ATMA, back in 1999. He was elected the Victorian President in June 2000 and remained in this role for 7 years working alongside Andy Lee and then Graeme Lukey. Trevor was there in 2008 driving the change to a national association. In 2010 he was appointed to the role of Treasurer. He then moved to the role of Secretary and has been in that role up until he retired from ATMA last year. Always one to invite a car full of staff to ATMA functions, Trevor has been an integral part to ATMA’s success for over 16 years. The committee extend our gratitude to Trevor for all that he has contributed to build our strong foundation. See more

02.01.2022 I was surprised and honoured to be presented with this recognition for being the ATMA president for 10 years! It has been an amazing journey and happy to see that the ATMA is still an integral part of our industry. Special thanks to Samuel James for the presentation and the reminder that I was the 2006 Young Achiever.....
