The ATOM Groundswell Schools Competition offers Australian and New Zealand primary and secondary school students the opportunity to create a piece of work addressing environmental issues, sustainability, and/or changing the planet (or their local area) for the better. For the past five years, the ATOM Photo Comp an initiative of ATOM in partnership with Ted’s Cameras has invited amateur and professional photographers across Australia and New Zealand to submit epic, stunning and intimate images, responding to the competition’s theme. Films were submitted by primary and secondary students from all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand, based on the 2020 theme: ‘The Second World War and Your Community’. The idea of community is looking quite different in this current climate, which has provided inspiration to explore this theme through a contempo...rary lens. The 1-Minute Film Competition is an initiative of ATOM and the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs. The Fast Forward program is designed to accelerate Victorian students in media literacy skills by providing:... - Additional media activities: - Opportunities to expand their critical and creative thinking - Encouragement and inspiration for future media industry careers! Over the next 2.5 years, ATOMVic will offer a range of events and resources, including film screenings and talks with industry professionals, workshops in various production processes, discussions with emerging creatives and much more! Students will be able to access all of the Fast Forward content from an online platform, with recordings of past events, as well as additional resources and activities. Please join us in celebrating the launch of this program free access to the documentary film 'Her Sound, Her Story' for the month of September, as well as a live discussion and Q & A with the Director, Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore!
