25.01.2022 Another quick video of finding a 135grn Atomic 29 30/30. Took ages to find but got there eventually. Weighed 134.7grns in the end, did well for traveling through a shoulder pad and bone. The boar was shot at about 70 meters. The knife I was using was made by Ted Mitchell, brilliant knife, would help if I didn't forget my stone so I could give it a sharpen.
24.01.2022 A big morning at the Atomic 29 range, working up a load in Tim Blackwells Sako AV 375 H&H. A compressed load of 80gn AR2209 behind the 270gn A29 achieved an average of 2680fps, and showed some promising grouping despite wet and blustery conditions. The bullets out of the backstop looked perfect, this rifle is NT bound so we plan to replicate that performance on big game soon!
24.01.2022 Ted Mitchell had some luck calling for wild dogs. The dog came in from behind and was quite close before it was seen, running off and pulling up to another call at 100metres. A 155grn Atomic 29 from Teds 30/06 finished the job nicely. Nice shot Ted and the property owner will be pleased.
23.01.2022 Dayne is still knocking them down this time with his 338 win mag. This good boar was making a b line for the river with a mob of sows, when a broadside shot at 180 metres nose dived this porker after a couple of strides. The 220grn pill entered behind the shoulder and exited the same opposite side.
23.01.2022 Nice sunny day today, so loaded up some Atomic 29 .375" 240grn projectiles in my .375 Ruger, to get ready for some hunting in Qld, as long as this virus thing doesnt stop me. Was really happy with the way they shot, to get that group at 100metres with a 4 power scope, except the last two which I think I pulled. They averaged about 2630 to 2650 fps. Found a pill in the back stop, after a clean it weighed 240.7grns so must still be a bit of dirt in it. The load used was 69grns of 2208 pushing the 240grn Atomic, with a O.A.L.of 84.0mm.
23.01.2022 A beautiful Mountain Reedbuck from South Africa's Stormberg Mountains. A29 135gn bullet from a Tikka 7mm Rem Mag did the job nicely

22.01.2022 A friend who shoots target rifle in Broken Hill tried the 155grn Atomic 29 .308" projectile through his 308 target rifle at 500 yards. The target on the left are Atomic 29, the right target are Sierra Match pills. Was shot on a windy day hence a little left and right. Was pleased how they preformed against a target specific projectile.
21.01.2022 Up in the N.T.,Paul Moritz and his son Jarred got themselves a buffalo each using a .375 H&H pushing a 300grn Atomic 29 pill. Both dropped to the first shot with a second put into each as a cautionary. The meat was put to good use with the rising humidity making it hard work. Well done boys.
21.01.2022 Mark Rohde was poking around with his classic Kimber 300H&H and took this nice old billy using Atomic 29 155gn.
21.01.2022 Ted Mitchell Jr used a 135grn 7mm Atomic to take this red stag in QLD. A 150 yard angling shot up hill and on the move, the pill entered behind the near side ribs and was found in the off side shoulder. The stag only making a few paces before falling over. Well done on an excellent shot and a nice stag. The recovered projectile when weighed retained 100%.
20.01.2022 A few people been asking about a price list and range of products. Currently, this is what we have available. Feel free to leave a message if you have any questions or need to order.
20.01.2022 Dayne Horrigan up in cape york QLD has been giving the 250grn 9.3 Atomic a work out. This pig was shot at 70 metres angling away, the bullet entered behind the ribs and was found between the lower neck joint and first rib. The pill once found with a pinpointer showed it had held its weight and opened well.

19.01.2022 Friend of mine was having trouble hitting foxes with his rifle and with the price of lambs as they are he was a little annoyed. Think it had been a while since the old Rem 700 308 had been checked ,so after giving the barrel a good scrub and wiping a very thick layer of dust and grime from the old Tasco mounted on it. While doing this found that the front lens was slightly loose, that did not bode well for an afternoon of accurate shooting. Set a target at 100 metres and now ...that the scope didnt look like peering through a dirty coke bottle, put two shots into the centre target, which both went into the top right. ( see pic)However they were touching each other ,so was happy. After a few more shots and a bit of clicking, a lot of clicking, managed to get on target. In the end we had the final three shots touching and just went two clicks left. The Rem seemed to love the Atomic 29 155grn 308, it was pushed by 43.5 grns of 2208 with a O.A.L of 70.5mm. Also found a spent pill in the back stop, still weighed 155grn , was from that rifle as was still hot when I picked it up. See more
19.01.2022 Ted Mitchell Jr did great work with Atomic 29 in his .280 to call in this QLD wild dog. Another calf killer gone
18.01.2022 Was going through some old photos and found a couple that were the first hunting we ever did with Atomic29. Jamie pictured here and I snuck up on these three pigs having a feed on a dead cow, Jamie dropped two with the 308 and myself one with the 375 ruger, at about fifty metres. Everything exited no recovered projectiles. We decided to have a look at the same spot very late in the evening that same day, figuring if three pigs are coming in to have a feed there might be more.... Sure enough Jamie hit this toothy black boar with the 375 ruger as he was eating his recently departed mates. At the time the loads we were using were a 270grn A29 in the 375 with 73grns of RL_15 85.0mm OAL traveling at average 2750fps. The 308 ,155grn A29 with 44grns of AR2208 OAL 70.5mm a average of 2700fps. The rifles are a Rem 700 308 and a Ruger 375 African. The Ruger I have removed the rear express sight and fitted a peep off a Ruger scout rifle to it. For those that have a Ruger and thought that doesnt look quite right. See more
18.01.2022 Changed my old dot sight to a Hawke today. The original I had on there did the job but was not bright enough on full sun days. The dot is 3moa which at 100 metres fits just nicely inside a 90 metre bench rest target. Shown are the last four shots from the Marlin 30/30, (yes to the purest ,I know its a remlin) happy with how it shot the 135grn Atomic 30/30 pills. I know when Tim Blackwell sees this post and realizes that a 30/30 can shoot farther than 20 metres ,hell be racing out to buy one. Photos show a couple of spent rounds that were found in the back stop, cleaned up weighed 135 grn still, dirt is not the best indication of performance but always of interest. The load is 33grns of 2208 pushing 135grn Atomic 29 30/30 with a A.O.L. 64.0mm.
16.01.2022 CNC process for Atomic29 slowed to below half speed for the filming. Bit hard to see with my camera work and coolant, thought people would be interested in the production side of things.
15.01.2022 On this last trip to QLD I took a young bloke named Jaron with me, as he wants to work with cattle and livestock and gave him a small taste of what it's like to be a ringer. We spent a few days together mustering cattle and working in the yards. The pic of the horse riders is Jaron on the chestnut and myself on the dark horse. My fat arse had not been in the saddle for a while and I was feeling it combined with the heat. I left Jaron working for the rest of the week while I c...aught up with Raffy, a mate from Darwin. Once Jaron had finished with the cattle, picked him up and took him out to try and get a pig. We found a big black and ginger boar on a dam and with the 308 Jaron hit him running up the bank , with the angle of the shot he was hit a little bit far back but he wasn't going far, he made it just over the top of the bank and pulled up. A quick jog around the dam and being a bit cautious a finisher to the chest had him down. Probably the biggest pig I have seen on the place, not a bad start for your very first pig. His second pig , the black boar ,was having a bath in a small waterhole. He made a run for it but couldn't get a bead on him till he had cleared the cattle hanging near the water. Young bloke keep his cool and busted him running left to right at about 70 meters. He was using Atomic 29 155grn in the 308, no recovered pills punched through at that range. Think Jaron will be back . See more
15.01.2022 Tim Blackwell down in SE/SA, the home of A29 bullets, with some fresh fallow venison courtesy of a 135gn A29 at 3200fps from his 7mmRM
14.01.2022 Dayne Horrigan found this Atomic29 300grn 375 on the opposite side of a scrub bull in far north QLD. Thanks for getting the knife out Dayne and finding it.
13.01.2022 Ted Mitchell was out with some mates hunting for some meat when he got to try out the .358" 220grn Atomic29 bullets in his 358 Mitchell Express. A red deer hind dropped to a shot through the shoulders and the projectile was found in the bank behind her. Recovered projectile weighed 219grns. Well done in finding it Ted, know you have been waiting to get one back for a while.
12.01.2022 Derek Edwards has recently tried out some 155grn .308" in his 300 win mag. This group was 5 shots at 100metres using 82grns of AR2217, a quick look in a Nick Harvey reload manual tells me thats around 3000fps. Excellent shooting Derek.
11.01.2022 Frank Halman and his daughter Alexis decided to do a bit of hunting on a friends property for a bit of venison. After checking the rifle was on the money at a 100 yard target, they headed out for a late afternoon hunt. Stalking into a 150 yards from a couple of button bucks, Alexis got into position over her Dads backpack and dropped her target with a well placed 155grn 308 Atomic29 projectile. Seeing as the second deer hadnt gone far after the shot, Alexis told her Dad to be quiet and hold off on the celebration while she dropped the deer with an equally good shot. Well done Alexis, good shooting, they would have looked good in that Swarovski glass. The rifle used is a Browning x bolt with a 155grn 308 Atomic pushed along by 42grns of AR2206H.
11.01.2022 Tim Blackwell nailed this awesome Barbary Sheep in South Africa using Atomic 29 7mm 135gn bullets. One shot from the rocks above at 220m did the job perfectly
11.01.2022 A nice boar taken by Ted Mitchell JR using Atomic 29 7mm 135grn out of a 280 AI.
11.01.2022 I have been in Queensland for a week or so with a good mate of mine Raffy, trying to find a few pigs to test bullets on. The weather was very hot and we were finding mostly lone boars having a midday cool down. I was using my Marlin 336 firing 135grn A29 projectiles. The pig was shot at around 60 metres.Probably a bit long for a Facebook video but thought I would show how hard it is to find pills sometimes. The recovered pill is a 135grn Atomic 29 30/30, weighed 135.4grn after recovery so must have a bit of pig still jammed under a petal.
09.01.2022 I posted a video of the machining side of the process for Atomic29 projectiles and it was quite popular. So heres the other side of the process ,the bar feed.
09.01.2022 Should have put these pics with the last post, few been asking for a original picture, .375" Atomic 29 210grn.
09.01.2022 Just got my stock back from Brett Rossouw in Brisbane for my .375 Ruger, he has done a great job on my Ruger African stock. The rear tang was starting to chip the wood work so more relief was made there. A second cross bolt was added and a new kick-eez recoil pad was put on to replace Rugers old factory one. Took a few rounds up to my range and was pleased at how it felt to shoot, definitely better than before. And yes I know my brass needs a clean. The load I was using is 77grns of win 760. O.A.L. 84.0mm .270grn Atomic 29 .375".
09.01.2022 Had a question about the mushroom or petals opening up evenly on the atomic 29 pills. They don't always open up to four petals ,sometimes two large or three. This 9.3 250grn out of a scrub bull shows how it's about to open to five petals. Obviously different game, distance, calibre, speed all play a part. I have tried to design a bullet that will penetrate, hold together, expand well and be accurate. Not always easy. If anyone has any questions feel free to message me, will try to answer as quickly as I can.

07.01.2022 Darren Kilne has been trying the 135grn Atomic 29 30/30 projectile in his 300 blackout with some good results. His 4 shot group at 50 metres is showing some promise. Think the plan is to take it out after some game when he gets a chance. Good shooting Darren.

06.01.2022 Mark Rohde is trying out our new Atomic 29 175grn .308" in his 300 H&H Kimber. Loading 69grns of AR2209 and a quick test on the range produced a nice group. Sometimes you find the right load straight off the bat. Think Mark is heading out hunting, good luck look forward to seeing any results.

04.01.2022 Brett Maxwell nailed this pig in western NSW with the good old 303 shooting 160grn Atomic29 pills. These projectiles are .312" and shoot a little better in these older rifles.
03.01.2022 Dayne in far north QLD has been at it again reducing the local pig population. The two pigs hit with his 9.3 resulted in their quick demise and a couple of nice mushrooms. Both pigs were angling away at around 40 and 60 metres when a Atomic struck them behind the ribs and ending up in the front shoulder of one and in the shoulder pad of the other. Nice shooting Dayne.
