24.01.2022 To all the foster and kinship carers in our community, thank you for what you do, to support the children in your care. Each of you are incredibly special people, who make an enormous difference in these kids lives. Thank a carer today.

23.01.2022 We recently approached Burrier Quarry to ask if they could help us by providing river sand for our seed propagation. We were so humbled by their response, as they gave us double what we asked for. We are so grateful that businesses and organisations like Burrier Quarry know how essential the life changing work we do with at-risk kids is, that they want to help us help kids in need. Thank you very much.

21.01.2022 We would love to introduce you to our new Volunteer Administration Coordinator, Lyn. Lyn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in many areas, especially administration and Lyn will often be the first person you speak with when you contact A Taste of Paradise. Over the last few weeks, Lyn has been doing some charity specific training with our outgoing Marketing and Communications Manager, Mary-Claire. We welcome Lyn to our team, and are so grateful for the skills and knowledge she brings, which we know will enhance our ability to positively impact the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged young people.

15.01.2022 We are so grateful for the ongoing support of Officeworks Nowra. We approached Officeworks Nowra last week and asked if they could help us in purchasing some supplies for our new office. They were very kind and generous donating toward our much needed supplies. It means so much to us that businesses, like Officeworks, see the importance in giving to our charity. That they see that what we do makes a life-impacting difference in the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged young lives. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.

02.01.2022 Following a process can be a very positive step for the young people who come to A Taste of Paradise Farm. They get to see the importance of following something through to the end. They see this in action when they feed the chickens, collect the eggs, package some eggs for sale, and put some eggs into the incubator, see them hatch from their shells and begin life. They see these processes through to the end, guided by their mentor, understanding whats happening and why. Our young people get to be a very important part of this process and it supports their growth and development. It shows them the value of finishing what they start. It even can open opportunities to discuss that choices have consequences. Image: Sue Agar
