23.01.2022 Who new Katharine Hepburn visited Sydney in 1955 to perform at The Tivoli Theatre in "The Taming of the Shrew" this delicate watercolour was done by well known artist / designer Peter Hurst who designed & hand sewed the dress for her in 10 days. What a wonderful story to hear. This was a very sentimental piece for the owner & she wisely chose to use museum glass which has 99% UV Protection. 02.01.2022 Sorting through our 'spare room' yesterday AKA the dumping room i found this iconic photo from 1972 which my dad took of all the kids in the street where I grew up. I was the youngest & the only girl. Dad was a photographer & photographed many Mosman families in the 70's. This picture represents the freedom we had back then. Street gangs, Billiecart races down steep hills, treehouses, playing hide & seek with me! You can imagine how that played out. My dad had a special wh...istle which when we heard we knew it was dinner time. It deserves to be cared for so finally im going to reframe it & put glass on it. It's lasted all this time without it, although a bit mouldy, nothing we can't carefully clean up.
