24.01.2022 Enjoy this gorgeous album of images featuring Queensland Symphony Orchestra taken by Peter Wallis during their concerts at QPAC over the weekend. Limelight gives Beethoven's Emperor five stars. "The trumpets blared and the timpani boomed towards the spectacular finale, with six blaring trombones surrounding the organist hovering above the orchestra. It was a monumental and memorable musical climax, in defiance to the seven long months of silence of QSO’s 2020 season."

They are joined by 100 singers and dancers to boost spirits and also raise funds for the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and entertainment benevolent funds across Australia. 15.01.2022 Hey, Hey, did you know it was on September 8 in 1965 that a small ad in New Yorks Daily Variety resulted in The Monkees television show. It was an instant success, and lead to them becoming bona fide rock stars. Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz played at QPAC last year, and the reviews cited their version of this song was a standout. First created by Bruna as a bedtime story for his son in 1955, Miffy embodies a universal language of minimalism and timeless simplicity, inspiring generations of artists and designers. 09.01.2022 Today, on the birthday of BB King, we remember the singer / songwriter called the King of the Blues. His music has been performed many times on our stages, including by Joe Bonamassa who opened for B.B. King when he was just 12 years old. Cyndi Lauper sang this particular song during her QPAC concerts in 2011.
