The ‘subsidy’ scam email claims to be from Servic...es Australia and asks people to reply with their personal information and copies of their ID to qualify for a fictional payment. 12.01.2022 In Australia’s Parliament being debated is the Religious Discrimination Bill 2019 that will allow for the legal discrimination of transgender people in Health, Education, Employment and Housing. Meanwhile in Belgium’s Parliament overnight there was the appointment of trans woman Petra De Sutter as Belgium’s deputy prime minister the first openly out transgender Cabinet minister in Europe. As a doctor and gynecology professor, she has been a champion of women's rights, transgender rights, gender equality, and sexual reproductive rights.

This award recognises the achievements that an individual, group, service or organisation has made which have changed the communities that we are part of. This years recipient is Dr Gale Bearman. We thank Dr Bearman for all her hard work and support over the past 25 years!

04.01.2022 Jan Morris was a beacon for a generation of trans folks. She was a hugely successful travel writer who also wrote about her own gender journey. Her 1974 book ab...out her transition, Conundrum, wasn't liked by everyone but it was very widely read and very widely acclaimed. It was just one of more than four dozen books that she published, many of which were met with high praise from literary critics.She died Nov 20, 2020, Trans Day of Remembrance. She was 94 years old.
