16.01.2022 Uganda through Seb's experience: " The most amazing thing for me, among many things in Uganda, was the time during our Open air evangelism programs when we asked who wanted to accept Jesus into their hearts. We did open air every night for twelve days and it was so amazing not only seeing the Ugandans energy day in and day out, but the impact it had night after night! Watching people experience the love of Jesus and boldly stand and accept Him was breathtaking. It warmed my h...eart and overwhelmed me with joy and energy! We then got to pray for them and after we got to celebrate Uganda style - dance and yell and truly celebrate our brothers and sisters coming home to God the Father. We had well over 250 people give their lives to Jesus and that is a low estimate. This picture is of a man that just gave his life to Jesus and I had the privilege of praying over and communicating with him. We didn’t talk with our words, just with a long hand shake/hold and staring into each others eyes, nodding and smiling because of the love of Jesus! Praise Jesus! -Bashy'' See more

15.01.2022 Our ATW 2018 is off to Brazil after a great time in Uganda. Take the time to read Laurel's story. "Saying goodbye to Uganda is about as painful as doing a belly flop off a 10m diving board. It hurts, it stings, you cry a heap, and you wonder why you ever jumped off in the first place. But let me tell you, leaping off that platform was one of the best decisions I have ever made. God put Uganda on my heart almost 2 years ago, and living out that calling has been nothing short o...f a blessing. Uganda is so full of joy and laughter and contains some of the most welcoming people I have ever met. From Open airs where we preached the gospel, to door-to-door where we told people about the love of Jesus, to always having at least 4 kids hanging off your arms, Uganda was full on; full on love. My best moments came from spending time with the kids. Their pure joy, genuine love, and curiosity is truly contagious. You can’t help but light up when you are on the receiving end of one of those beautiful African smiles. I think I could spend forever in this place surrounded by these beautiful children (sorry mom!) Words and pictures do not do this place justice, so I will end with this- knowing how painful the landing is, I would jump again every single day. Until next time, Uganda -Laurel'' See more

Everyday was different and it was so stretching to learn to adapt to new cultures and environments every couple weeks. Every country we went to was so different and unique. The best part about going to so many nations is that you get to meet fives times the amount of people, get five times the ministry opportunities, and get five times the amount of memories as traditional DTS’s Elaina (USA) . . 01.01.2022 Take a moment to read: The island of Lesvos, close to Turkey, is part of Greece. However, when you step into Moria, its largest refugee camp, you've stepped out of Europe into a whole other world: filled with over 7,000 people from Afghanistan to Syria, from Somalia to Cameroon. Tragically, it's a former prison complex (still decked out with barbed wire) made for only 2-3,000 people. So many problems, and you have to realize that, no matter how much you wish it, you can't fix... it just by being there--what you CAN do is show them you care and treat them with dignity. You can't speak about Jesus (unless they ask) because it's illegal, and so it must come through action. Show God's love through your desire to serve, and trust that God, in His wisdom, providence, faithfulness, and sovereignty, is moving and working in their hearts. One night, when I was guarding section B, a place for unaccompanied minor boys, I heard a few snippets of why they came: whether fleeing family or because family was killed or just wanting to escape war and terror and injustice. As per usual, a few statements on the problems of Moria. I noticed self harm cuts on a few different arms. And then, somehow, I started dancing with a young guy. I learned several Afghani dance moves, a garbage can was used as a drum, and everybody laughed and cheered until midnight arrived and we had to lock up. It was a welcoming moment in the midst of anger, frustration, and sorrow. A reminder to choose joy. It's a memory I will cherish. -Paul See more
