19.01.2022 NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

19.01.2022 At this stage, we are still uncertain what the competition structure looks like for next season. ATWFC officials will be attending a Football Queensland Wide Bay meeting in Childers at the weekend to discuss the competition layout for 2021. Hopefully, by next week, all clubs will know what football competitions are available to our senior men and ladies players. This is certainly not an ideal situation, but we will still continue as normal and will begin our Senior Men's Pre-season Training on Wednesday 25th November at The Waves Sports Complex. NEW and returning players are most welcome to attend. All players turning 16 in 2021 are also asked to attend if they wish to do so.

18.01.2022 Our Wide Bay League 1 and 2 teams take the short trip across the Burnett Bridge on Saturday to play Bingera at their home grounds. All gate proceeds from this game will go to Beyond Blue. Next season, we hope to run our own Mental Health Awareness round again. Unfortunately, it has been challenging to schedule any home games this season during the COVID-19 restrictions being our grounds are shared with other sports and has a licensed area which doesn't belong to the Football Club. Let's all look forward to some great football on Saturday at the Bingera grounds for a great cause.

17.01.2022 Please check your fixtures, plenty of football going on during the week

17.01.2022 Congratulations to all those who played Grand Finals Football on Saturday! It was a HUGE day for EVERYONE and some fantastic football was played by all. Special thanks to all our volunteer Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers. Also a HUGE thank you to all our Miniroos coaches and helpers who played their last games for the season. The 2020 season has certainly come with many challenges but we got there in the end. Also a big thank you to all the Mums, Dads, families and supporters who come out each week to cheer on the Blue and Gold.

17.01.2022 Congratulations to all our Senior Awards Winners for this year! Hopefully next season we can return to our normal Gala night at The Waves Sports Club and have everybody there to join in the celebrations. #Forzawaves

14.01.2022 Queensland Government has announced some important changes to the blue card system which will come into effect on Monday, 31 August. It is vital that all Quee...nsland clubs and organisations understand the changes, including the new No Card, No Start laws which outline that anyone working or volunteering with children in an organisation must hold a valid blue card before they begin work. 13.01.2022 "I’d say to anyone if you want to be involved in the game, you might not be the greatest player but that doesn’t matter. There’s still a role and a part for you... to play in this wonderful game, and coaching is certainly an opportunity for you to do that" It was fantastic to have QAS Mentor Coach Rae Dower in attendance at last week's female-only MiniRoos coaching course with Gold Coast United FC players. Six more MiniRoos coaching courses are scheduled for the last week of August. Find an upcoming coaching course bit.ly/CoachCourse

13.01.2022 Important message to ALL CLUBS from the Football Bundaberg President. We ask that all ATWFC members continue to follow the rules please. Hi everyone Over the last two weeks, our Cleaner has found empty beer bottles, cruiser bottles and vodka bottles in the bins around the Bar area.... Therefore, someone/teams are bringing alcohol into the grounds, as FBi does not sell any alcohol in glass bottles. This is definitely against FBI's Liquor Licence. I am informing Clubs that NO ALCOHOL whatsoever can be brought into Martens Oval, not even 1 can. The fine for bringing alcohol into a Licenced venue is tremendous and if a Licence Inspector visits our grounds and it is found that people are drinking alcohol that we do not sell, FBI will receive an on spot fine and so will the person drinking the alcohol. Further, our Bar will be immediately closed down, our Liquor Licence cancelled. I am sure the Clubs do not want this to happen. FBI's prices for alcohol is the cheapest in the area, so why would you bring alcohol into Martens Oval. This is the same if you brought alcohol into ATW Sports Club, Brothers Sports Club, Club Hotel etc., it just cannot happen. Therefore, Clubs please inform your players, spectators etc., that no alcohol can be brought into Martens Oval. Grounds Controllers and FBI Committee members will now be doing spot checks on dressing rooms/fridges, people coming into the grounds, grandstands etc., so please adhere to our Liquor Licence. Hoping you all adhere to this. 11.01.2022 Important Message for U6 Hotspurs - GIN GIN U6 team has contacted us tonight and are unable to play tomorrow 8.30am Sorry for the late notice.

11.01.2022 An important message from FQWB Dear Football Wide Bay Clubs, I wanted to touch base with you all as we enter into the final stages of our 2020 football season, which can only be described as a turbulent one with the events and effects of COVID-19.... We have been extremely fortunate here in Wide Bay to be able to resume football activity in recent months. The tireless work from all stakeholders of the game (volunteers, coaches and participants) to ensure that football has been able to resume has been nothing short of tremendous. As we enter the nail-biting stage of our season we have started to receive a worrying amount of reports of bad behaviour and misconduct both on and off the field towards referees, participants and spectators. I would like to ask you all as custodians of our game to familiarise yourself with Football Federation Australia's Code of Conduct, which establishes a standard of performance, behaviour and professionalism for all participants and stakeholders. This document strictly prohibits members from bringing the game into disrepute through acts including, but not limited to, discriminatory behaviour, harassment, offensive behaviour, and intimidation of match officials, and also holds clubs responsible, and liable, for the conduct of and behaviour of its supporters, whether at home or away matches. Please note that any report of persons, clubs or players who do not abide by Football Federation Australia’s Code of Conduct will not be taken lightly. I would also like to take this opportunity to ensure that all members of our Wide Bay football community are continuing to follow the COVID Safe measures outlined in Queensland COVID Safe Plan for Field Sports and Football Queensland’s Return to Play Guidelines. Thank you for your continued support, cooperation and dedication to our sport. Good luck to all teams involved in finals. Warm regards, Andy Allan Region General Manager Football Queensland Wide Bay
