16.01.2022 On the 11th Day of Christmas LPM brings to you....Reindeer Macarons. I tweaked the design on these little guys after having to make a last minute batch last year when the horns (which were piped in macaron batter) kept breaking . Less breakages with this design but still super cute!

13.01.2022 So, I know Ive been pretty absent on here of late. To be honest while life has been very busy, business has been very quiet. Its usually my slower time of year with very few weddings and less events happening during the colder months but it has been even quieter than usual, I guess due to covid and the lingering affects/worries associated with that. The good news is that things have started picking up a little so you should see me posting a bit more in the future. If you... are waiting on a reply or an invoice that you were expecting today, my day didnt quite go as planned but I am hoping to get back to you all over the weekend. 12.01.2022 After having completed the biggest month of baking ever, you’d think I would probably sit down and relax or perhaps get ready for Christmas Day (especially as we are hosting). What do I do? Bake a macaron gingerbread house of course We attended a cousins gingerbread house decorating session a few weeks ago and my daughter asked me if I thought I could make a house out of macaron batter. My response.........#challengeaccepted It’s not the neatest house I’ve ever mad...e (it needed sooooo much icing to hold it together) and it’s certainly not as structurally sound as a traditional gingerbread house but it’s done! Hopefully it will stay together until Christmas Day so the kids can demolish it. Oh, and before anyone asks me if I’m taking orders for these next Christmas, the answer is a firm no! Done it once, never need to do it again @ Perth, Western Australia

06.01.2022 Hi, apologies for the silence over here of late. Yes Im still alive, still open for business and taking orders.....just not for the next week or so as my oven is still broken . Im crossing everything that it can be repaired and I dont have to go find a new one. Anyone who makes macs will know that all ovens cook differently and when it comes to macarons, you often need to play around with temperatures a bit to get optimal results. I REEEAALLLLLY dont want to have to go through that process so

02.01.2022 Well, its that time of the year again, birthday week...the ONLY time I ever make cakes . My daughter turns 11 today and my sons birthday is coming up in a few days . Neither of my kids like buttercream and given that my skills dont extend to fondant, its getting pretty difficult to come up with different ideas for cakes each year. Bailee loves chocolate (who doesnt) so I decided to have a go at what has to be the worlds easiest cake, the Kit Kat cake. They have a cool range of new flavours out at the moment. I couldnt decide which one shed prefer so I chose to use aaaalllllllll the flavours I love the way this turned out and it literally took less than 15 minutes to decorate!
