25.01.2022 Not only has Cumberland Council looked towards privatising vital local services, the Mayor and General Manager have now walked away from a commitment to work with staff and the United Services Union - USU on a solution to prevent this privatisation. Local services in the Cumberland community should be kept local & not outsourced or privatised

Please sign the petition in the comments section to show that our community is united against outsourcing critical local services.

21.01.2022 Important information for people in Auburn, Lidcombe and Berala - NSW Health has asked anyone in these suburbs experiencing any symptoms, however mild, to immediately isolate and get tested. There are a number of venues which have been identified by NSW as having been visited by a positive case of COVID-19. Check out the list below & follow the directions from NSW Health.

This year’s lecture will be delivered by Hon Chris Bowen MP, Shadow Minister for Health and Federal Member for McMahon. The Jack Ferguson Memorial Lecture is organised annually by the Westmead branch to honour the proud legacy of Laurie John (Jack) Ferguson 1924-2002; state MP 1959-1984, Deputy Premier 1976-1984. We had a chance to discuss all the major issues across the state & federal political sphere, including the iCare scandal, the future of JobKeeper and the new Building Commission.
