24.01.2022 So I received a Samsung Gear S3 for my birthday this year. This is a smartwatch, but rather than looking like an obvious chunk of wearable tech like the iWatch from Apple it maintains the watch form factor. I've taken the opportunity to start designing and selling custom watch faces on the Samsung Gear store for a bit of pocket change money, and to have a selection of my own personal designs to wear. Here are two I created and submitted today :)
21.01.2022 I have been bitching and moaning to my wife about the Avatar movie using the cheesy cheap free font Papyrus for over a decade as their official logo, and pointing out whenever I see it used on crappy yoga pamphlets, terrible herbal signs, meditation posters and various other places. Now SNL and Ryan Gosling have made a skit based upon my last 10 years of hardship. Hats off to Ryan for doing such a great job playing myself as the character. https://youtu.be/jVhlJNJopOQ
19.01.2022 Here's our new work space down in Sydney! Our new place has a fantastic sunroom which makes for a funky little studio. I enjoy seeing other people's work stations so though I should share ours off as well :)
16.01.2022 After almost a year, the company I helped rebranded from the ground up has finally launched its' new website! Once a convoluted and confusing brand, we stripped everything right back, reworked the brand personality, and overhauled the hierarchy of the digital presence. Each page crafted to funnel users into becoming customers. With over 1 million active customers, navigating change to the digital platform was tedious. However, the opportunity to impact this many people was ve...ry exciting. I can't wait to see how the new branding/site impacts the business for the better! https://www.smile.com.au
04.01.2022 Aucadian now has the great pleasure of working with Valiant on a consistent basis. Valiant recently launched a new website, and Aucadian has been brought on board to aid in the creation and deployment of all digital marketing products. If there is one thing I love about doing UI and UX work, it's the in-depth exposure you are granted to a businesses internal workings, how they operate, and their workplace culture.
