18.01.2022 Traditionally Ryans or Byalee Stables take the 'death seat' of the auction, the last lot (often a bargain!), which this weekend will be Lot 30, Blenheim Park Regardette. 'Isabella', offered by Byalee Stables, is a beautiful mare by Regardez Moi (imp) out of an Ilkay (imp) mare, due next August to Byalee Briar (imp) with a Live Foal Guarantee. We've already seen some exquisite Regardez Moi/Briar crosses (Heath Ryan's Bronze Boy to name just one!) and we look forward to meeting another next year! Isabella's foal has a 50/50 chance of palomino or chestnut. You can see BP Regardette from 10am on Saturday or Sunday, freeschooling at AOS.

Flitter is by the beautiful imported advanced level dressage stallion Byalee Briar, and a half-sister to Grand Prix champion Byalee Magic! 09.01.2022 Battling against the outside influences of an ongoing drought and extreme bushfires, Auction of the Stars nevertheless prevailed at our annual Christmas performance sale with lots of support from phone bidders and online bidding. Before the auction itself began, of course, we offered the traditional stallion service fees and despite our fears that perhaps the drought might dampen breeding spirits, bidding was keen, with top prices going to Drumming R (IFS) on $2000 and $1900.... The top-priced lot for the weekend was Lot 2, Eagle Elms Fiderpranz, an absolutely beautiful 8yo chestnut gelding by Fidertanz (Fidermark) sold for $47,500, and the auction was off to a brilliant start! The bargain of the auction was commonly thought to be Lot 15, Sambrics Pride, a 2yo chestnut Questing R filly, beautiful to look at, beautifully moving and even lightly broken in, sold for $7500!!! This horse has a super future! More than $220,000 worth of horses changed hands, a clearance rate slightly down at just over 58% but with two horses under negotiation that figure is likely to rise to 65.5% by close of business today! Please contact us if you are interested in any of the horses passed in and especially the horse unfortunately forced to withdraw on the day, Lot 19! A special thanks goes to Diana Rees and Pam Christie who provided us with some amazing piano music over the weekend these two are so talented and we were lucky to have them! 09.01.2022 Byalee Best (Lot 22 at AOS this weekend) has been popular with potential buyers in the lead-up to the auction as a possible stud prospect to create coloured warmbloods - but he would make a great competition gelding too! Amazing bloodlines combine with Byalee Briar (imp), Olympic Ferro (IFS) and Flemmingh (IFS) all in one package, likely to grow to 17hh+! We are sure he will show off free-schooling at the auction - watch for him from 10am on Saturday and Sunday.

Jack Sparrow K was in the arena working and we got a snippet of him working with Breanna Tillitzk in the saddle. Such a lovely young Jive Magic gelding with a huge future in front of him.
