23.01.2022 What can we do to keep stopping the spread of COVID-19? Our Chief Public Health Officer, Professor Nicola Spurrier, explains how important it is to get tested a...nd stay at home if you have any of the following symptoms, even if the symptoms are very mild: - fever - cough - fatigue - sore throat - runny nose - shortness of breath - loss of taste or smell. It’s also VERY important to: - Practice good hand hygiene. - Keep 1.5 metres distance from others wherever and whenever possible.

23.01.2022 Today we received this wonderful story from Thomas - the perfect way to celebrate World Hearing Day 2021. Thank you so much Thomas for sharing your story, we absolutely loved it! "My name is Thomas and I am 8 years old and live in the Riverland in South Australia. I like playing cricket, football and go swimming almost every day during summer. When I was 3 years old the doctor found a Cholesteatoma in my left ear. I have had 6 operations to try to remove it but sometimes it s...till comes back. I used to wear a hearing aid that sat over my ear with a plastic mould that went inside my ear. Last year I tried the ADHEAR hearing aid. It has little sticker that I stick behind my ear and then I clip the hearing aid onto it. The sounds around me go straight to my inner ear. It sounds much clearer than my old hearing aid, and I can tell where different noises are coming from. I can turn the volume up or down, which I really like and I also have some stickers that I can decorate it with. I wear it to school every day and it helps me learn in class. The best things about my ADHEAR are that it doesn’t annoy me inside my ear and that it sounds so good. I have a little clip that attaches to my t-shirt so it doesn’t get lost, and I don’t really even know I am wearing it. My new hearing aid has been excellent - I love it! "

18.01.2022 One of the first questions we ask children in an auditory processing assessment is how they find listening and learning in their classroom. The answers we receive are often insightful and provide simple solutions for some common classroom listening challenges. Give it a go - we would love to hear some of your stories!
