13.01.2022 AVE are delighted to announce Mark Shepherd as Head of Production. Mark’s appointment is key to AVE’s commitment to provide the highest level of Technical Production and industry leading AV solutions for our client’s and partners. In case you haven’t had the opportunity to meet or work with Mark yet, get to know him below. When did you join the industry?... I have been in the industry for 23 years, started out as a recording studio assistant & working behind a bar flipping cocktails in between studio sessions before joining live events. What roles have held over that time? I started work as technical crew, working through the ranks to senior technician, I am experienced in all technical aspects of the events industry Audio, Video and Lighting, Stage and even Draping. Moving to Technical Director, a position I held for 10+ years, I managed events small to large for key clients, in both Australia and abroad. I enjoyed providing solutions to roadshows, special projects and provided workplace training to incoming technical crew. I have since held positions as Sales/Project manager continuing working on client development, event design & producing and most recently as Head of Production and Operations at NW Group. And, what about outside of work? "I enjoy time with my family, wife, 2x kids, a dog and 2 Chickens . I have a passion for Motor sports, In my spare time work on a Drag racing team. I'm also an avid foodie, love cooking and regularly found next to my BBQ firing up the coals, smoking meats, a glass of wine and listening to good tunes.
