22.01.2022 CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER This year a number of Shopping Centre gift wrapping stations will not be operating due to COVID-19. These are usually run by volunteers to raise funds for various hospital foundations. ... I am the director of Australian Disability Support Agency (adsa), we are a local Disability Support Services company here on the Gold Coast, with a focus on 1:1 Direct Supports, Community Nursing, and Therapeutic Supports. This year we would like to raise funds for Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation toward vital research to find a cure for paralysis. 'In Australia around one person sustains a spinal cord injury every day, and many of these individuals are under the age of 24. There are currently 15,000 Australians living with spinal cord injury. Aside from the personal trauma, the cost to our society to care for spinal injured people is $2 billion a year. Without an effective cure for spinal cord injury, the emotional and financial costs to individuals, their families and to our community are life-long.' - https://www.pcsrf.org.au/facts/ How it Works: - Drop your gifts to our Helensvale office. - Fill in our form, itemising each gift, with who it is for and from, and return address (Logan-Tweed) - Leave a donation, Gold Coin donation per gift (maximum gift size 1m x 1m x 1m). $5 note for large gifts such as bicycles. - Delivery of wrapped gifts twice-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays (possibility of more closer to Christmas Day). * All gifts will be wrapped similar to pictures provided, unless there is a specific wrap requested. Isa has appointments available to suit your individual situation. Counselling can be arranged in the comfort of your own home. Home visits incur a transport fee.
