24.01.2022 It’s been great to be able to continue to support families in their homes during this 5 day lockdown via teletherapy. My families are comfortable with teletherapy sessions, some using their iPads funded by their NDIS plan. We are finding the Bluetooth earbuds and Bron being covered, a wonderful way to coach parents without interrupting the interactions with their child -so natural! Thank you to all my beautiful families!

21.01.2022 Happy New Year to all my wonderful families. I hope everyone is having a wonderful break and special time together with your loved ones. To kick start the new year I've created a new Auditory-Verbal website which you can view here: https://www.auditory-verbalwa.com.au/ Feel free to share this with your networks!... I look forward to seeing and working with all of you in the coming months.

12.01.2022 School holidays are a wonderful opportunity to coach siblings on playing and interacting with their brother- to help him to learn to listen and talk. Thank you Krystina for the privilege of being in your home. Website: https://www.auditory-verbalwa.com.au/

07.01.2022 Congratulations Pia Leeming on receiving the Dr Harry Blackmore award for 2021, presented by the Deafness Council of WA. This award is an acknowledgment of your Auditory-Verbal vision, dedication and inspiration to both your colleagues and families with children with a hearing loss. Thank you Pia for your continued support and collaboration to support my AVWA families.

07.01.2022 Wishing all my beautiful families a wonderful Christmas and happy, safe holiday. Six years ago Pia and I started supporting families in their home under Pia’s business name ‘Hear at Home’. Another journey begins for Pia, as she has ceased ‘Hear at Home’. I will continue to support families in the home, through NDIS, under my business name ‘Auditory Verbal Western Australia’. ... They say it takes a village to raise a child. I’m sure I speak on behalf of many many families with children who have a hearing loss, to say thank you to Pia. Thank you Pia for your; Guidance, Knowledge, Expertise, Understanding, Inspiration, Experience and Coaching. -To help children learn to listen and talk. -To grow and develop to the best of their abilities and be able to attend mainstream school. -To give parents confidence and knowledge, to be the best for their child. Thank you Pia for being part of OUR village! We will miss you!
