25.01.2022 WOW ... what a year it's been and we can hardly believe that the 'Silly Season' is just around the corner. Although it's been a challenging year for us al...l, here at Cavy West we plan to bid the 2020 show season a fond goodbye with our annual Christmas Show and 'Pet Extravaganza!' Sunday 1st November 2020 Cockburn Wetlands Education Centre 184 Hope Road Bibra Lake Exhibition Cavies will be looking their best for the final show of the year before the weather heats up. For those with Cavies in the 'Condition' or 'Pet Classes' this is the one you've been waiting for. Due to current restrictions you must be a member of Cavy West to show your pet guinea pig, but that is really simple. Membership is FREE for the 2020 season so it's a great time to join. 24.01.2022 Audrey Cavies welcomed their first Himalayan Babies tonight. All seems to be well. Lets hope they keep warm enough.
22.01.2022 Pet therapy takes many forms, and the therapeutic benefits of this need to be seen to be believed. Audrey Navy came to work in our memory support unit today and... had the residents interacting and enjoying spending time with Navy. Navy also managed to get loads of cuddles from the nurses. 16.01.2022 :: IMPORTANT NOTICE regarding the show THIS SUNDAY :: We are really excited to have so many of you wanting to come along to our Cavy West Cavy Show show on Sund...ay! As Western Australia remains in Phase 4 COVID restrictions we will have a limit to the number of people allowed in the venue at any one time. The hall will be open to members of the public from 10 am - 4 pm and shows tend to be quieter after lunch if this is your preference. Entry to the hall is free. We will have sanitiser available and request that you practice social distancing. If you arrive and there is a line to get in, there will be a coffee van and churros van (yum and yum) available outside and displays to look over - we will endeavour to keep you entertained while you wait but we do ask for your patience! Please park in the car park at the front of the hall or there is more parking around the back of the venue. Were looking forward to meeting you all and having a day full of fun and every thing Cavy!
16.01.2022 Wish I had extra hands to record my darling Lilac enjoying his bath. Yes not a wash a bath. Laid on his back and let me rock him back and forth in the water, enjoying every minute. The easiest piggie ever to wash, dry and groom. I felt so guilty having to pull him out of the water.

14.01.2022 Lily and her cavy Clover-Leaf Silver Lance. Silver Lance got a Best of Breed for both the WA State Open and the Spring Classic.

08.01.2022 NorKodJas Imperial 03 April 2016 -17 June 2020. RIP Imperial. You were very special to us. Imperial was our first cavy and the first cavy Audrey Cavies showe...d. Imperial was my starting cavy and then Lilys. She was the piggie that Lily out shone her mum in grooming with. She had a beautiful personality and unless she was inside with us or at a show she had her own cage that she wouldnt share with anyone but Silver Lance. You would never swap her cage...ever. Imperial traveled to the Australian National Cavy Show and was shown by Lily where she received a Reserve of Breed. RIP Imperial you will be sadly missed. :( See more

04.01.2022 Lilys going to be happy when she gets home. 4 babies. (Dutch) 2 with white bums...the ink ran out. One looks good but we wont get excited just yet. One nice marking but not showable and alittle weak.
