23.01.2022 Serving in the ADF has unique demands, and all ex-ADF members have access to a comprehensive GP health assessment. You can get it done any time after you’ve left the ADF, but the sooner the better. For more information visit http://at-ease.dva.gov.au, or ask your GP.
18.01.2022 The first of the findings were presented at a scientific conference yesterday. The five presentations at the Australian Military Medicine Conference was a milestone in getting to share the results with the ADF military community. 18.01.2022 Enlightening and robust discussion today with the Prime Minister's Advisory Council about the findings from our 5 year research study examining the mental, phys...ical and social health of current and ex-serving ADF members and their families. Great to be able to brief them on the key research findings. In particular: - The importance of monitoring the long term health of our veteran population across multiple domains - The significance of sub-syndromal mental health symptoms and anger as early markers of progression to later disorder - The need for the development of strategies for prevention, early intervention and access to care for ADF members transitioning to civilian life. In other exciting news, a further 3 reports from the Transition and Wellbeing Research Programme were released by the Hon Darren Chester MP, Minister of Veterans Affairs today: Impact of Combat Report: https://www.dva.gov.au//health-studies/impact-combat-report Longitudinal Report:https://www.dva.gov.au//he/mental-health-changes-over-time Technology Use and Wellbeing Report: https://www.dva.gov.au//technology-use-and-wellbeing-report
