24.01.2022 In Chaos Lies great opportunity. Now is the time to put the theory into practise!

24.01.2022 Slow down, come home.

23.01.2022 Back pain is the most common kind of physical ailment in adults and is no joke. The short version of how you hurt it is through a lack of regular kind, nourishing movement. Developing a conscious movement practice is one of the best ways to care for your body. You were made to move; walk, run, crawl, roll, bend and stretch, play! It feels so good.

23.01.2022 Great advice. I think you need to keep all 6!

23.01.2022 keep practising

23.01.2022 In a world full of opinions about what you should be doing and how you should be doing it, the word ‘lazy’ is itself a lazy accusation. Simple name calling might be useful organizing a storeroom, but when it comes to the complexities of human experience, it’s just not. . When we find ourselves, Unwilling to work or use energy It’s tempting to call it Lazy and force ourselves onwards regardless. However taking time to understand your inner motivations might be a more effic...ient and sustainable long-term approach to rediscovering your natural passion for living. . Efficiency in movement is my new personal practice passion. But efficiency of mind is an even more important start. As ephemeral as it seems, the longer I practise the more I discover, it’s ALL in your mind Babies! . You can read more and access a recording of my favourite meditation technique Yoga Nidra fresh on the blog today. Link in profile or in comments. See more

23.01.2022 Even after 20 plus years of practice it still surprises me how many of my problems can be solved with conscious breathing. . The minds says BUT.... Not this time, this is much more complicated problem. .... However Im on it, focus on the breath and quiet the mind and just like that the problems get lighter and thinner and sometimes disappear all together. . Totally over the home made problems. whats next? . Term 4 booking now. Come practice with me. Schedule and bookings Link in comments See more

22.01.2022 By donation, this Thursday . Deep Dive inwards into the mystery you are! Registration essential

22.01.2022 Some of you were asking where I got my lovely flowers this morning. Here’s the answer!

22.01.2022 Remember how beautiful it is to be alive. Remember to offer your heart to the world like the precious flower it is. Remember each breath can be a prayer. Refuse to fall down If you cannot refuse to fall down, refuse to stay down.... If you cannot refuse to stay down, lift your heart toward heaven, and like a hungry beggar, ask that it be filled. You may be pushed down. You may be kept from rising. But no one can keep you from lifting your heart toward heaven only you. It is in the middle of misery that so much becomes clear. The one who says nothing good came of this, is not yet listening. Clarissa Pinkola Estés, The Faithful Gardener: A Wise Tale About That Which Can Never Die See more

22.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who has booked to join me for term 4. So looking forward to getting back this week. I’m so grateful you all make the business side of this all so easy, so I can focus on sharing what I love! I hope you’ve enjoyed this break time to go slowly as much as I have. . My apologies for those that missed out on a spot, we still need to be restricting numbers for everyones safety. There are some spaces left for Mondays Zoom class, I’d love to have you join!... . 1 last live space has become available on Friday mornings 10-11.30 in the gardens. booking links in profile or in comments. . Keep breathing, keep moving, stay kind. . "It takes only a moment to breathe, a moment to be still, and just like that, something in me settles, softens, makes space for imperfection. The harsh voice of judgement drops to a whisper and I remember again that life isn’t a relay race, that we will all cross the finish line, that waking up to life is what we were born for. As many times as I forget, catch myself charging forward without even knowing where I’m going, that many times I can make the choice to stop, to breathe, and be, and walk slowly into the mystery." ~ Danna Faulds, Walk Slowly . #lovelocalmacarthur #macarthurnsw #westernsydney #campbelltownnsw #mindfulyoga #natureyoga #mountannan #mountannanbotanicalgardens #australianbg See more

22.01.2022 Sometimes looking stones. Sometimes looking for butterflies. Sometimes looking for flowers. Sometimes searching for the truth. But always remember: beauty is in the search, not in what you find. That’s just an excuse.~ Osho . #beautifulflowerseveryday #australianflora #mountannan

21.01.2022 Look at these gorgeous designs!

21.01.2022 The more turbulent the world around us becomes the more important it is that we find our anchor within ourselves. How can we stay clear hearted and open minded in a world that is constantly become more polarised with division? The answer is Presence, and kind attention. . Dont look away, the world needs you here, there is no mistake, its time to commit to where you are, to who you are, to this miracle of life that is here amongst us. . Being here is an open multi-level clas...s which will run Wednesday (sold out) & Saturday Mornings 8.30-10am in the beautiful plantbank at the Australian botanic Gardens. . We will Practice paying attention to the subtle inner workings of the body breath and mind as you learn to anchor your attention in this moment as it is. . 5 or 10 class passes available. 21.01.2022 The astonishing reality of things Is my discovery every day. Each thing is what it is, And it’s hard to explain to someone how happy this makes me,... And how much this suffices me. All it takes to be complete is to exist. ~ Fernando Pessoa, Astonishing Reality of Things. #astonishing #yantra #artjournaling #colourandlight

21.01.2022 You know those nights when sleep eludes you, and the harder you try to sleep the less you can. You are trying to force yourself to be peaceful, and you feel the... resistance inside of you. This same sort of resistance is felt by many people during their first experiences with meditation. The more they try to calm themselves, the more restless they become... This resistance is born out of our very efforts to be peaceful. The effort itself becomes oppressive. Our thoughts and feelings flow like a river. If we try to stop the flow of a river, we will meet the resistance of the water. It is better to flow with it, and then we may be able to guide it in ways we want it to go. We must not attempt to halt it. Keep in mind that the river must flow and that we are going to follow it. We must be aware of every little stream that joins it. We must be aware of all the thoughts, feelings, and sensations that arise in us - of their birth, duration, and disappearance. Do you see? Now the resistance begins to disappear. The river of perceptions is still flowing, but no longer in darkness. It is now flowing in the sunlight of awareness. To keep this sun always shining inside of us, illuminating each rivulet, each pebble, each bend in the river, is the practice of meditation. To practice meditation is, first of all, to observe and to follow these details. - Thich Nhat Hanh Image: Dirk Wustenhagen #Meditation and #InnerPeace

20.01.2022 Sure. You can put your leg behind your head. But are you happy??Sooner or later youre going to have to take the leg off of the back of your neck...and go live your life. #parayoga #truth #tantra #dharma

18.01.2022 Gyorn Gyorn and Ungud, cloud and rain spirits, original artwork by Leah Ubagai . Respect to this country’s first people. Always was always will be. . I do not teach the dreaming. The mountain teaches the dreaming. One thing you must know. You come as a child and learn how to crawl before you walk. I know today you have your education but I don’t want you like that. I want you to come the way I want you to come. As a little child.... ~ Aboriginal elder, Guboo Ted Thomas #alwayswasalwayswillbe

18.01.2022 Next Yoga Nidra scheduled. Time for a deep dive in to your depths

18.01.2022 Yall know Im a huge advocate for rest, in our busy culture it is one of the best therapies you dont need money to buy. But the deep rest isnt sitting in one place and taking your mind somewhere else like TV, books,or the endless realms of the internet. . To deeply rest takes deep presence and it is one of the most profoundly peaceful and healing practises you can offer to yourself and to the world. . Giving up for a while all your opinions about how things should be and re...sting into how things are is soothing balm for a troubled mind and soul. . There are many things in this world we can barely hope to understand, why should we think we can control it all? . Deep rest is an act of deep trust in the great mystery of life, it brought you this far, I bet its got something fantastic in store, Im sure. . In class we practise resting, breathing and deep stillness both at the beginning and end of each class because I know the treasures to be found there. . if youve forgotten how to access this deep rest its time to practise. . New Term is filling fast, book your spot asap. Schedule and links in profile or on website. . #deeprest #soulfuel #trustinlife #natureheals #mindfulyoga

17.01.2022 Yoga in the Gardens adds another layer of peace to the practice. Thanks Stacey

17.01.2022 WHAT WOULD HAPPEN...? What would happen if you removed the word anxious and just paid attention... to these flickering sensations in the belly? What would happen if you took away the concept lonely and simply became fascinated with this heavy feeling in the heart area? What would happen if you deleted the image sick or broken or bad and just got curious about the tightness in the throat the pressure in the head the ache in the shoulders? What would happen if you stopped looking for solutions and checked to see if there was actually a problem here? Come out of the exhausting storyline, friend. Its not true. It was never true. Commit sacred awareness to a single living moment. Come closer to yourself, Now. Bring warmth to the tender places inside. Infuse sensation with the light of attention. Its never as bad as you think. 16.01.2022 Mindfulness of breathing is your island, where you can be safe and happy, knowing that whatever happens, you are doing your best thing. This is the way to take refuge in the Buddha, not as mere devotion but as a transformational practice. You do not have to abandon this world. You do not have to go to heaven or wait for the future to take refuge. You can take refuge here and now. You only need to dwell deeply in the present moment. Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ #mindfulbreathing

15.01.2022 Happiness is impermanent, but it can be renewed. You are also impermanent and also renewable, like your breath, like your steps. You are not something permanent... experiencing something impermanent. You are something impermanent experiencing something impermanent. If happiness can be renewed, so can you, because you in the next moment is a renewal of you in this moment. Its wonderful to know that happiness lasts only as long as one in-breath or one step, because we know we can renew our happiness in another breath or another step, provided we know the art of generating mindfulness, concentration, and insight. - Thich Nhat Hanh, in The Art of Power. 15.01.2022 Everything that happens is the message: you read an event and be one and wait, like breasting a wave, all the while knowing by living, though not knowing how to live.... Or workers built an antenna -- a dish aimed at stars -- and they themselves are its message, crawling in and out, being worlds that loom, dot-dash, and sirens, and sustaining beams. And sometimes no one is calling but we turn up eye and ear -- suddenly we fall into sound before it begins, the breathing so still it waits there under the breath -- And then the green of leaves calls out, hills where they wait or turn, clouds in their frenzied stillness unfolding their careful words: "Everything counts. The message is the world. ~ William Stafford, A Message from Space

15.01.2022 Advice from María Sabina, Mexican healer and poet - Heal yourself with the light of the sun and the rays of the moon. With the sound of the river and the wa...terfall. With the swaying of the sea and the fluttering of birds. Heal yourself with mint, neem, and eucalyptus. Sweeten with lavender, rosemary, and chamomile. Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a hint of cinnamon. Put love in tea instead of sugar and drink it looking at the stars. Heal yourself with the kisses that the wind gives you and the hugs of the rain. Stand strong with your bare feet on the ground and with everything that comes from it. Be smarter every day by listening to your intuition, looking at the world with your forehead. Jump, dance, sing, so that you live happier. Heal yourself, with beautiful love, and always remember ... you are the medicine. See more

14.01.2022 Rest is an important part of the process!

13.01.2022 Don’t tell me the devils in the details, because the closer I look the more God it all gets. If you can’t see it, get out in nature! You are two hands, two legs, and two eyes,... But if your heart and the Beloved are also two, what good is that? You call out, 'I am the lover', but these are mere words. If you see lover and Beloved as two, you either have double vision or you can't count. ~ Rumi

09.01.2022 You know what I see a lot, that I dont gel with in the wellness industry. Its the meme how nothing good ever grows in your comfort zone . Now I know its good to expand your comfort zone and Ill talk about it often, but you dont need to sleep on beds of nails. . A good nights sleep grows in a comfort zone, as does a feeling of safety and security. These things are not the be all and end all of living, but they should not be made out to be the enemy of your growth. Som...etimes comfort is a very good thing indeed . for anyone who has suffered trauma in their life, having time to enjoy and cultivate feelings of comfort is equally important to learning to step beyond it. . In fact the idea is not to abandon your comfort zone its to make it so big that theres nothing left outside it, and to do that you have to start inside it. You cant bully yourself into growth, Be kind! See more

I think one of the great joys of Lockdown, (for those of us without small children at least) was the joy of slowing down. .... Weve all heard the less is more concept but putting it into practise in the rapid paced modern world is not always so simple. . If going slow and sweet and deep is your vibe this class is for you, and remember slowing down is where we can really build strength. . 06.01.2022 Here’s the podcast I have been talking about in class all week. I listened to all of it but this one was really full gold for me.

05.01.2022 Today in the ancient tradition of Yoga is Guru Purnima , it falls on the first full moon after the solstice. . The word Guru means dispeller of darkness and inside each of us we have a light which if we can find it does exactly that. . Today is the day to honour and give thanks to all the teachers past and present who carry the torch, and ignite the spark and help us find that light that shines within for ourselves.... . If you find anyone or anything that lights you up with joy and Love, let yourself lean into that sweetness. Dont be afraid of the light, through its grace everything you are, everything you think you know is transformed. . 02.01.2022 Look, and look again. This world is not just a little thrill for the eyes. It’s more than bones. It’s more than the delicate wrist with its personal pulse.
