22.01.2022 Hi guys..... well.... Cafe will be open for takeaways only from Saturday through to Monday night. Obviously there will not be live music this Sunday, sorry folks, but we all need to stay safe.

We are doing contact tracing, where you must give names and numbers for us to keep a record for Covid Safe requirements, I promise I won't call you at midnight for a chat (lol) thanks. We are open 7 days, and Friday nights until 6pm NEW, NEW, NEW!!! Starting Tomorrow, we have GOURMET BAGELS... All Ingredients are FRESH MADE IN HOUSE. Oasis Vegie Bagel is supplied by Oasis Direct, with Cream Cheese made by Karen & Ned. IT'S SO GOOD! I am also Roasting my own Beef with Our Cream Cheese, Pineapple, & Chilli Chutney filling. 15.01.2022 Happy Friday to all! Well the 20 people rule seems to be working, it does take a lot longer to serve everyone, what with getting contact details, disinfecting all tables and chairs before we can seat anyone, but on the whole everyone is patient and happy to comply with rules. Soon people, soon, we should be able to open back up properly and have Sunday music (I for one am hanging for some great live music) maybe July, fingers crossed! 10.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Another year almost done, it's been a hard year for some, a lonely year for others, and an busy year for the rest of us! 2020????? mmmmm. The elves (me) are cooking/baking up a storm for our Orphans lunch on Christmas day. Full house again. I am sooooo looking forward to it. I would like to thank: Sean Harding at Castle meats for the Ham, My wonderful year round supplier for the Turkeys (other turkeys are just staff lol) Ed Russell for the Beer (yaye) and everyone who donated either Cash, Plates, Deserts, Vegies etc or their time to make sure this year is a great one. Aunty Alice's will be CLOSED on Boxing day, re-opening 27th, and all other days throughout the holiday break. Have a safe, cheerful, and Kind Christmas to all of you. 09.01.2022 Hi all. Sadly we finally have a confirmed Covid case on our beautiful island. Contact tracing is under way, and the cafe has not been contacted so we will still be open for business. We have stringent covid safe policies already in place, and as long as everyone adheres to our new norm, we should all be fine. Remember, if you are unwell, stay the hell home! 08.01.2022 Hi All. Well, it seems like there might be light at the end of the tunnel....... a very small light, but light nevertheless. We are still open everyday, and Friday and Saturday nights until 6pm for takeaways. keep a watch for something new and exciting happening after the lock-down has ended!!! Fresh on Bayview open 5 days and Tuesday & Thursday nights until 6.30pm The Bowls club is now open for lunches 12 - 2pm & takeaway Chinese Wed thru Sat nights.... The RSL, open Wed thru Sat nights for Takeaways, and Pizza is now on Saturdays. Express Kebab open 7 days and nights. The Bakery - 6 days for fresh Pies, cakes, and sandwiches. LIVE MUSIC IS BACK ON SUNDAYS!!! from 12 noon to 3pm This Sunday ( the 10th) Cool Jazz Sunday the 17th - Blues Roots and Stuff We are having our Australia Day party on Sunday the 24th - True Blue, Ridgy Didge, and the Girl playing Ozzie music.... The Bay Island Auto Club is having a Show & Shine that day as well, so come on down Sunday the 31st - we have our Piano Man Victor with his eclectic easy listening. 07.01.2022 Well it's Friday again, and I am at home doing the books (again). Contrary to the rumour mill, I DO NOT have Covid - 19. I AM NOT the person on the island who caught it, hell I don't even leave the island, I work and go home. So, to the person who started said rumour..... " You are Completely wrong!" That Said, we are open as per usual, 7am til 3pm Monday to Friday & 8am til 3pm Saturday & Sunday's. Live music this week is Jon, Al & Tony playing Blues Roots and Stuff from 12 noon. 05.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone. It seems I had a fight with the ceiling fan yesterday, if anyone saw me, I looked like I had been hit over the head with an axe!! The lovely Summer Freeman at the drs fixed me right up. Looked worse than it was. lol dumb dumb dumb! Wow, head wounds bleed like hell don't they. I am not working today, got a bit of a lumpy sore head. Cafe is in good hands with Rachel & Karen. Music this Sunday is Cool Jazz, featuring John, Jon, and myself, from 12 - 3pm. As we are very busy on Sunday's, there are no phone order takeaways available from 12 - 1.30. You can place an order for pick up after that time. It's Anzac week (God bless all our armed forces, both NZ & Oz) As such, the cafe will NOT be open on Saturday the 25th We are still open everyday, and Fridays til 6pm. We had yummy Shepherds Pie from Fresh On Bayview last night..... it was great!! They are open late on Tuesday's and Thursdays. Don't forget to support your long standing local Eateries.... The RSL & the Bowls club are still open 4 - 7pm nightly. And the Kebab shop every night until late. Last week I forgot the Bakery, Sorry. Open 6 days, and the Bacon & Cheese Sausage Rolls are the Bomb!! PLEASE NOTE!!! Oasis fruit and Veg will be open on FRIDAY this week as it is ANZAC day on Saturday and ALL businesses are not allowed to open until the afternoon. 03.01.2022 Morning everyone!!! Well the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer by the day. As of Saturday morning, we are allowed to have seating for 10 - yes TEN people. I am asking everyone if you could please exercise patience, and consideration for other patrons by:.... Booking in advance,... not staying at the tables for more than 1 hour (unless eating), and most important of all....... PLEASE MAINTAIN YOUR SOCIAL DISTANCING 1.5MT We will bring your orders out to you, so please don't linger inside the cafe. If we can keep our distance, then we will be able to go back to normal that much sooner. At this point I have no words to thank the many, many of our LOYAL customers who have kept my girls employed over the last 6 weeks. I am truly humbled by ALL of you. 03.01.2022 Good morning people. Well another week has passed by, and now the new normal? is 10 seated customers at any one time. Well...... that's fun? Please keep in mind that if you want to sit down for your meal/coffee, you should phone ahead and book to make certain that we can seat you, and PLEASE be kind to the girls, it is not their fault that we have this situation. Thanks for your understanding. Notwithstanding, on the whole it has been lovely to see people sitting any enjoying... themselves again. Don't forget that we are open Monday - Thursday until 3pm. Friday's until 6pm for your dinner. and Saturday & Sunday's as per usual until 3pm. Next month we should have a few more seats, and VERY soon, live music WOOHOO!!!
