18.01.2022 Waiting patiently at the school pick up yesterday afternoon the children love seeing what big school is all about. Listening to the bell and watching all the children leave their classrooms. The daycare children love seeing Chelsea and Amelia at school and cant wait to greet them and listen about their day at school. This is what family day care is all about

18.01.2022 From following interest in counting I printed off some number stencils this morning so everyone can start tracing and familiarising themselves with numbers. With my ages ranging for 4 years to 11 months everyone gets involved in group learning time. Me R loves counting and in fact can almost count up to 14! Mr R is only 1.9 years and loves his numbers this morning we were working on out numbers and Me R pointed out recognising 1,2 and 3 Great work mr R

17.01.2022 Aunty Mels FDC has put new Procedures in place to make sure your little one is going to be safe and healthy. My number one priority is my children and my daycare babies young children and families and expecting mothers of these families I care for. Therefore Im holding my own children home during this time to stop the rapid effect and spreading of the COVID 19 virus. ... I ask all parents to please remove your shoes and wash your hands on entering and leaving our home. Please keep them home if they are sick. And please let me know if any extended family members or close friends have made contact with you after being overseas. We have cancelled holidays ceased school and been more vigilant with staying at home during this time to keep our home safe and healthy for your little ones to stay in care. My ratio for family day care is 1:7 meaning if we can keep on top of these precautions our family day care will run smoothly and free of the COVID 19 virus. Kind regards Aunty Mel Cant wait to see all of my bright little sunshines tomorrow @ Valentine

11.01.2022 With all the advice going around about Coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to reiterate that the best way to protect yourself is the same as you would against the... common cold. - Wash your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds with soap and water - Cough and sneeze into your elbow or a tissue - Stay at home if you feel unwell with flu-like symptoms. - Avoid close contact with anyone with flu-like symptoms. It may sound simple, but these are some of the best ways to limit the spread of disease. For more tips and information, visit NSW Health: https://bit.ly/2TGtqqb

09.01.2022 Dearest Parents, I have been keeping myself informed with the latest updates on the widespread of corona virus from my coordinating unit and thru government advisories. On my end as an educator, I have a duty of care to protect my FDC kids the most I can. We may never tell if we have already contacted the virus, but keeping ourselves informed can make a valuable contribution to the benefit of our loved ones and our community. I have enlisted pragmatic measures that are doable... on our end. Please have a read: * Have personal hand sanitiser handy and sanitise your hands especially before: - picking up your children (touching their hands) - holding the door handle and my phone for signing in and out) * Stay consistent on leaving shoes outside upon pick up or drop off (children cant avoid touching the floor with their bare hands when they play). * Encourage child to stay home when sick, or if displaying symptoms of viral infection. Kindly seek doctors advice and medical clearance to ensure if safe to attend my day care. I have duty of care to ensure the safety of everyone in my care. * Parents need to also be mindful of their health upon drop-off. If exhibiting symptoms, kindly seek doctors advice to ensure the safety of everyone in my care. * Please encourage our children when coughing or sneezing to use either of their elbows to cover their mouth and not with their bare hands. * I have hand sanitizers, alcohol and tissues available but only limited (tissues, alcohol, hand sanitisers are running out in the market unfortunately so wise use of it is encouraged in children). * I will appreciate it if each child has their own hand sanitisers in the bag in case I run out. * Practice healthy habit of sufficient water intake for adults and children. Immune boosting food/supplements/ vitamins/fluids intake and healthy practices may help us increase our chance to fight against this pandemic. * Please observe short, quick and respectful conversation with me and fellow parents whilst indoors during pick-up and drop off. A precautionary measure I believe is necessary to at this point I hope for your sincere understanding and cooperation. Lets keep ourselves informed to ensure our healthy and safety along with our loves ones. Please take time to read the attached link for more valuable information. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorian-public-coronavirus-di Sincerely, Me

08.01.2022 As of 12 March,NSW Health have advised there have been 78 confirmed cases of Cornoavirus or COVID-19 in NSW. 34 are from likely overseas sources; 32 known cont...acts of a confirmed case, 10 are under further investigation, and 2 are yet to be identified. There is no need to massively change what you are doing but its not business as usual. Everybody needs to be alert, but not panicked. The best way to protect yourself from COVID-19 is the same way you would protect yourself from catching flu or other respiratory illness: - Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitiser. - Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze. - Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms. - Stay home if you are sick. If you do feel sick, it is important that you cpontact your doctor by phone, or present yourself to the Emergency Department of your nearest hospital where you will be met by highly trained staff, or call Healthdirect on 1800 022 222.
