18.01.2022 Oh Gee how do I price this one????

17.01.2022 Yet another Christmas approaching. Don't forget to secure your space for this busy period. Yet another year without any price increases. That makes it three years in a row.

16.01.2022 Good morning to our loyal customers. Like everyone else we are dealing with the changing faces of this Corona Virus issue. Firstly please understand that your animals can not carry the Covid19 virus according to Vet Professionals. It can thus not be transmitted to Humans. ... We are open and will continue to trade. Local holidays or even a weekend away may be a good option for families to get through this situation. We have always used hospital grade disinfectants and these are now recommended to treat surfaces. All customers are recommended to follow the advice from Health reps. If for whatever reason customers need to be self isolated or need to go to hospitals we have procedures in place to assist you, including but not limited to pick up and delivery, taking pets to the vets or to other family members. We can help and all you need to do us ask. Once again thanks to our loyal customers. Rob

15.01.2022 During the heat wave conditions that the Eastern Seaboard have been experiencing, all exercise is conducted in the cool of the morning and also a soaker hose is used for 15 minutes each hour from the roof of the kennels to keep all dogs cool. Sleeping areas remain dry. Water in bowls is refreshed regularly. Cat enclosures are in a heavily insulated environment.

15.01.2022 So winter seems to have arrived finally. Warm days but chilly nights. We have AstroTurf in most sleeping areas now which makes them warmer. Recently Aldi had a special on dog coats so we snavelled a bulk supply.... Of course we have no issue with you bringing your own but be aware that sometimes dogs get destructive when away from home. I remember when a customer brought a magnetic bed in and their dog ate it. It was poohing magnets for a month. June long weekend two weeks to go and Christmas filling fast.

14.01.2022 Quite hot here on eastern seaboard. Air conditioning for cats and soaker hose running 15 minutes every hour.

14.01.2022 Small number of spaces available for Christmas still available. Vaccinations mandatory.

14.01.2022 Thanks everyone for your patience. Telstra have fixed the land line outages in our area. Our normal phone number of 0249826304 is fully operational.

13.01.2022 I found this picture on Port Stephens Buy and Sell website, Hope they don't mind me using the picture and showing how pretty the Port Stephens area is.

09.01.2022 Thanks tony lipari

06.01.2022 Re the Bushfire potential. We are helping a number of other kennels that have suffered loss during the fires north of us. Further we are supporting evacuation centres in a number of locations. Firstly we have been through local fires a number of times over the past 18 years here at Auramist and we have a sound fire plan in place.... The kennels and cattery themselves have an Fire retardant roof which I wet down. Sprinklers are installed. Thence we have many crates here, which you would have seen and I load these in our big vans ready to evacuate if need be. We have three spear point pumps around the property with a generator on each to run the pumps in case the power goes out. I have yet had to ever call owners in as if it got to that point it is unlikely that you could get through anyway. We had a major fire up to 25 meters from fenceline in November last year and there is thus a reduced fuel on the farm next door. I hope this meets with your expectations but will mention based on previous experience the power and phones are often cut in the event of fire and we just go into the fighting mode when needed. Please be patient if fires are local as my first priority is to fight the fire. Smoke has been present in most of NSW for the past two weeks and if required we will provide a cough mixture or seek vet assistance if needed. We have space available and if you need to evacuate your animals for piece of mind or due to risk please contact us. We are happy for you to pass this on as needed. We try to stay calm and we take any and all action as required. Cheers

05.01.2022 Don’t forget Easter is only a short time away. Do you have your holiday and boarding organised. Cats now have air conditioning and heating to balance climates. Check out our as in the Port Stephens examiner got a discount between now and the Easter break. Thank you to our valued clients that have taken the time to write reviews. We got our hands on some Synthetic Grass so now half of the dog enclosures have AstroTurf on the floor. ... Also just letting everyone know that we have not had a price rise in three years. Not even CPI. Cheers

03.01.2022 Another bumper Christmas period done. In 2018 we purchased a new transport vehicle, purchased 70 new dog beds, installed air conditioning for office and cats plus set up a 100msq dog play area. We donated over $3000 in services to Animal Rescue groups locally by way of transport and free boarding. Some animals were dumped and some were as a result of Domestic Violence. We are glad to help. ... Most importantly we survived a bushfire that got to 20m from our fence line. We are now on town water for all animals. Proposed for 2019, painting kennels and replacing some weld mesh sheets. Possibly retire our old Pet Taxi. Entering our 16th year here we thank our regular customers and welcome new customers. Cheers Rob

01.01.2022 Hey everyone. Just about full for Chrissy and new year. Need to get in quickly if you need a spot, Don't forget I will gladly drop you at airport and pick you up. Save on parking costs.

01.01.2022 Well once again we needed to put our Emergency plan into place. When he first heard of the fire at Campvale we commenced preparations . Watching RFS websites, checking maps etc. Kennels wetted down. Crates in vans. ... Vans fueled ready to go. Thankfully the NPWS turned up just as we faced a 60 foot wall of fire. If it wasn’t for the cutting put in after the 1994 fires the result may be different. We have Emergency plans for fires, floods and major accidents. We have put them all into place over our 15 years here. No dogs or cats have ever been lost or injured. Good planning gives good results. Long night ahead. Cheers
