20.01.2022 We love them all and cannot make a decision...HELP!!! Which is your favourite - A) the icicle box ... B) the rainbow box C) the "wannabe iPad" box Let us know what you think. No matter which way we go it will be a massive improvement on the old plain brown cardboard pated boxes you are used to

07.01.2022 What colour filament do you see on your monitor / screen?

05.01.2022 We have added a new line to our range of items to take your printing to the next level. In case you didn't know, all filament is hygroscopic, and some is more so than others. Hygroscopic simply means that it absorbs water from the air around itself. The simplest way to remove the moisture is to bake it in a vacuum oven and seal it in a vacuum (airtight) container.... Welcome to our new range of filament dryers and containers - all available for pre-order here: https://aurarum.com.au/product/3d-printers/filament_dryers/

05.01.2022 Have you seen our celestial colours? Celestial Blue and Celestial Black. Available now in PLA and shortly in PETG as well #3dprinting #3dprinted #3dprinter #australianmade #aurarum #3dfilament #3dpla #3dpetg #pla

03.01.2022 It's competition time again! This time it's for a roll of our much sought after Gold PPLA We are going to be a bit more specific this time - due to popular demand - ... What we want to see this time is your best / favourite unfinished print. Ie.- straight off the printer with no sanding, painting or other finishing. Competition rules are simple: Most votes as at Sunday night 7.00pm - 20th September 2020 wins. If it is a draw then Aurarum will cast the final vote to decide. The prize is values at around $60 including postage to you. You are welcome to change to another colour PPLA of the same or lesser value. Good luck and get posting 100% Australian made filament, printers and a huge range of apart parts and accessories

02.01.2022 How's this bender on his ender in Titanium ... This truly is the perfect colour for Benders 'shiny metal ass'... I am a fan of this colour 100% Australian made filament and 3D printers

02.01.2022 Hey all, Time for a real question that affects all of us. ;) As you know we are exploring ways to make our hobby / interest / business more earth-friendly - we are looking to start recycling in the next few months for PLA and PETG but there is another way ... Compostable PLA.... Yep - worms can eat it and you can dispose of it with your green waste and return it to the earth. It literally takes your bad prints and supports and turns them to s%&t :) Now there is a downside to it - and that is the cost to produce (actual product / manpower / speed of extrusion etc) is far greater and that leaves us with a dilemma ... "IS IT WORTH MAKING?" PLA currently sells for around $32 to $35 a reel... This is likely to be closer to $59.95 a reel So I will pose 2 simple questions and ask that you be honest with us - we want to make it but it needs to make sense for both sides - select the option that best suits you. Please feel free to let us know your thoughts as well if you want to share them below! #ANSWER 1/ Yes - I would be happy to spend $59.95 for 1kg roll #ANSWER 2 No - I do not see the extra value No judgment - just genuinely interested in your opinion! (y)

02.01.2022 What colours do you use the most? So during Covid we have gone more than just a little crazy with orders and keeping up has been a challenge for us (we know! ) But we feel like we can see the light and we are finally getting to the top of this very steep mountain. So when the light is finally shining again we want to know what it is you want is to have more of...... Is it black PLA / PPLA or yellow, green. We appreciate your sharing and will make sure the replies here make a real world difference

01.01.2022 Ever wondered how the team at Aurarum make sure the 1.75mm filament stays at 1.75mm? Well, wonder no more :) Check out this quick clip that shows the tolerances running through a measuring machine for continuity and also how the reel is wound to a spool ensuring there is no knots or winding errors (y) ... https://youtu.be/lzbe7ihJldQ
