08.01.2022 Return to train and play. Ok so lots of announcements coming out so a quick update from us. - Until we see the roadmap out we don’t know anything for certain ...so it is all speculation at the moment. - We have no indication of what restrictions will be in place or whether vaccination mandates will be imposed on us. - We are anticipating a return to play around mid November based on vaccination targets with a reliance on the government sticking to its promises. - We are hoping that restriction easing allows clubs to commence some form of training from the end of October. - The season looks like being one dayers again - Presidents and Secretaries have been provided an update. - Once the get out of jail plan is released and hopefully has something concrete in it we will have a Presidents meeting to discuss the format and playing conditions for the season. - Whether we wear whites or coloured clothing hasn’t been discussed - not the biggest issue at the moment sorry. - impact to the start of junior and master blaster commencement and end dates are being worked through - We are considering mandating ramen noodles for afternoon tea with varying flavours each week (this bit is obviously not true, lockdown is getting to all of us) Ultimately all we want to achieve is getting you all out of the house and playing a game of cricket and having some fun with your mates. 06.01.2022 Hi Lakers, As you may be aware restrictions are in the process of being lifted and with that, cricket season will be upon us again in no time. The current advice from Cricket Victoria and the WGCA is that if there is no further delays in regards to the easing of restrictions, the season will commence on the 14th of November, with all grades being one dayers to get a home and away fixture in. With this in mind, our first training session will be on Thursday the 29th of Octobe...r, again pending restrictions. All past, present and new players welcome. The committee would also like to recieve any nominations for captains of the first and second XI's, either through Facebook or by getting in contact with a committee member. With regards to the Vets side, we will be in contact with the FTGCA and will share any news when it comes to hand. Cheers

02.01.2022 Cricket Players Wanted for 2020/21 Summer Season Aura Vale Cricket Club, situated in the Narre Warren area, is seeking new players for this coming season.... We are a culturally diverse club who embraces new members of any standard. We compete on Saturdays in the West Gippsland association. 02.01.2022 The 2021/22 season is fast approaching. After an encouraging season in 2020/21 we are hoping to improve and go one better this year. We are pushing to have 3 senior teams, plus a vets side this year, if you know anyone who is interested in playing, please bring them along. This year will be the first year that the Lakers will have a Woolies blast for junior cricketers, aged 5-12. Depending on the level of interest we hope to have a junior side in the not too distant future. Our commitment to the development of younger players will also include a youth development squad for players under 23. We are hiring a qualified coach for these sessions, details to follow. We look forward to seeing you all for the upcoming season
