25.01.2022 This Saturday the 24th October and the following two Saturday's at 11am, Joanne Kennedy and myself will run free nutrition seminars based on "how to optimise your diet to support your health, wellbeing and training performance " This event is will be held at Fitness First Platinum, Bondi Junction and is open to gym members and the public. A reduction for consultations and training sessions will be offered to participants. We hope to see you there.



25.01.2022 Baby Love!! Sometimes it's either hard to leave your baby or find someone to help you out. Why not incorporate your little cherub into your training? He or she is the perfect added weight for new mums getting back into training. Attach baby to harness on your back or front and ensure to keep your core switched on so your back is nice and straight at all times.... You'd be surprised how many exercises there are that you can do!! Get in touch with us if you're interested in getting some suggestions. Best part is....the stronger you get....the bigger they get too! So weight is conveniently added!! Remember, eating a balanced diet is absolutely essential particularly if you are breast feeding but also just to keep your energy levels up. 24.01.2022 Chickpeas are your secret weapon to a healthier and happier life. They're well known for many health benefits: Helping to stabilise blood sugar levels or lowering cholesterol, they are also full of proteins...But there is more to know about.... Chickpeas are loaded with "tryptophan" that is a precursor of serotonin. Serotonin is a hormone that plays an important role in mood and sleep regulation. I recommend eating lots of food rich in tryptophan, especially before bedtime!! Another great virtue of chickpeas is its capacity to counteract sulphites in your diet. 16.01.2022 What's YOUR goal???? What's seems difficult or challenging for me may be a piece of cake for you, or vice versa. When setting goals, make sure they're YOUR goals. Not your boyfriend/girlfriends, not what a magazine tells you or what you read anywhere. Make them achievable but with challenge, push your limits, be determined and know once you reach those goals you'll be SO proud of yourself because you did it for YOU! And once that goal is achieved, make another one. Little bit... by little bit, you'll get the end result you hoped for from the beginning. Believe in yourself.

12.01.2022 For many people Olympic Lifting looks "easy". Technically you grab a bar off the floor and you make it fly above your head in one or two movements.....no need to be a genius for that.!! Things become a bit more challenging when by hazard or curiosity you grab a barbell and try to make it fly with grace and precision. The reality is that the two lifts that compose Olympic lifting: - Clean and Jerk - and Snatch... are the most complex lifts you can perform. They require speed, strength, precision, a strong core and above anything great coordination! These two lifts make every single part of your body work out, including your brain!! They are perfect for athletes or sport enthusiasts of any level. Give it a try and in a short period of time you will see changes in your body. 09.01.2022 HOW TO STAY FOCUSED It can be hard to have clear goals and a clear vision of how to reach them. Life is full of unexpected events and that's what makes it exciting and/or stressful. It is easy to mislead our path and make decisions that are antinomique to our desire and goals and when it happens, the gap between your expectations and the reality creates a sense of non accomplishment or deception. The brain is subconsciously aware of our decision before we have consciously mad...e those very decisions. To make it simple, we come with decisions or answers before knowing we have. This implicates and raises questions and answers such as: Can the information you stored during your life hold you back from having the life you want? . Is your daily routine made of decisions driven by your subconscious? . Our subconscious processes more info than we are consciously aware. How do we make sure that those stored informations are driving us in the desired direction and doesn't sabotage our success or happiness? . Is it also the royal path to athlete conditioning? Practice makes perfect,technically but also mentally because of our ability to create reflex? . We can raise so many questions but the most exciting part is to come with a solution to maintain the direction. You can reset or reprogram your brain. It can be done with a tool called NLP and it works even better associated with regular meditation.
