15.01.2022 This morning a good mate messaged me and said remember where you were 5 years ago today ? He said you were in surgery! Today marks 5 years ! Since an event tha...t in many ways changed my life, my perspective and attitude. Many know the story, but not many know the impact of the moment when they told me how close I was to losing my leg from the knee down. In that moment I was honestly sick with fear, and doubt. How would I pursue my career, my passion for my horses and goals? how would I survive financially? How would I take care of my horses ? With no real place to call home or immediate family. And that’s when it happened, a sense of peace came over me ( lol and I know it wasn’t the drugs ) it was a inner peace that even in the event that I lost my leg, that God has equipped me with the grit and purpose to follow through for what I have been called to do. And what an even greater testimony and story it would be, not just to Roman ride at liberty, but to do it with one and half legs, that was the moment that changed and defined my outlook and my recovery. Gratefully I have made a full recovery with full use of both my legs. But It was still a long road, and I’m forever grateful to the people who stepped up showed up and helped out with getting me back on my feet and giving me and my horses a place to get going again. What are you facing in your life or Horsemanship ? That you are being challenged on ? What area do you need to find some grit in. What do I say to you ?- I say to you what ever talents and abilities God has given you. Use them ! Get to know them, put them into practice everyday and cultivate them, knowing that whatever the world throws at you that you are equipped, even when it doesn’t feel or look like it. This girl has so much talent! Really proud of her progress. Our round in the last class of the day 90-1m+. You’d be so proud of this little sensitive sally Brie Dawson she has come a very long way

08.01.2022 Wonderful day out Showjumping on Sunday with students, friends and horses! Thanks so much to Ballina & District Equestrian Club Great to catch up and all ride together. Very proud of all the kids for getting out there and giving it a go! Fantastic to see you all encouraging each other and having fun with your ponies together. Big thanks to Catherine Kelly for lending me your float after mine got a flat! We wouldn’t have been able to go without your help x. Was great to al...so get my young OTT Evie out to her second outing since coming off the track. Really proud of her progress Thanks all for the wonderful day x

04.01.2022 Huge congratulations to two of my lovely students Sienna and Emilia on attending their first ever gymkhana at Alstonville Pony Club. I am beyond proud of what these girls have achieved in the past couple years with lessons. They have been working super hard with their ponies to be where they are today and its so rewarding to see them enjoying this opportunity with their wonderful ponies. <3 Credit to Rebecca Merlino for being the most supportive, hard working Mumma for the girls, you guys are such a wonderful family. Looking forward to more horsey adventures and experiences with these girls! Watch this space... ;)
