24.01.2022 Meg Salter is speaking at the Bubbly Breakfast for Breast Cancer this Thursday morning. Please feel free to share the page with your friends and colleagues. Who doesn't want to start the day with a mimosa!!
23.01.2022 Hi All, Here is another webinar with my recruitment expert buddies Kate Bartlett and Philippa Baker. Huge thanks to them both for giving up their time and sharing so openly. There are some AMAZING tips and ideas shared on topics including:... * What to expect from a Screening Call and during a First Interview * How to prepare to ensure you impress * What questions you should be prepared to answer * How to interview well over Zoom Plus lots more (and a few laughs of course). If you have any questions please pop them in the comments and one of us will get back to you. Also, feel free to share with anyone you feel might benefit at this crazy time. Love and luck to all the job hunters out there!
18.01.2022 This movement has been a long time coming. Over the years I have worked with clients who embed a culture of kindness, and others who say all the right things but don’t put them into action. The work their people produce is the different. Genuine customer care is not a ‘strategy’ that can be thrown onto a list of employee expectations and KPId. It is born from how front line staff are treated by their leaders, and the values that are living and breathing in a workplace. If... kindness is at the heart of all internal interactions, it gains a strong undercurrent that carries everyone in the same direction and attracts loyal customers that appreciate being treated as humans rather than a dollar sign. Ps. If you are looking to immerse yourself in kindness, check out my good friend Cherie Cannings group celebrating kindness in all its forms. The Kindness Project

17.01.2022 A huge thank you to the team at Regional Development Australia - Orana for allowing me (Edwina) the opportunity to host a webinar today for Managers and Business leaders on overcoming some of the challenges businesses are facing with Working from Home. And thanks to PGI - GlobalMeet for providing the platform for the webinar!! Looking forward to hosting another webinar with them next week on ‘Leading through a Crisis’
15.01.2022 Just a little message to connect with you all. What crazy times we are living in right now. We hope you have your cupboards stacked with dunny rolls, hand sanitiser and LOTS and LOTS of booze. (Maybe some food thrown in there too!) Times are tough. Isolation will be as stressful and lonely as it is necessary. Seeing as we can't do workshops or deliver conference keynotes - we have plenty of time for you. If you need to chat someone; give us a shout on 0412 949 088 for Eddy or 0414 503 887 for Meg. #weareallinthistogether #stayconnected #notenoughwineintheworld
14.01.2022 Whoo hoo! My office space for hosting professional webinar’s - AKA my kids playroom!! I love how resourceful and resilient COVID-19 is making us all. What are some of the strange places you have conducted business during COVID-19?
11.01.2022 On 1 January 2020 this is what my goals looked like for the start of the year: - stay alive - keep my kids safe - just get through this... We were down on the south coast and trying to escape and get home to Canberra from the devastating fires. Then everything settled and I refocused about mid February and set some fitness goals, work goals, family goals etc. I think I’m now going to revert back to my original plan!!! But maybe add a few in: - make sure cupboard has lots of toilet paper. - ensure my grog cupboard is full - stay in doors - wash hands 10000000000000 times per day!! Stay safe x
11.01.2022 Sadly we have had to postpone our event in Canberra on the 25th March - The Physiology of Confidence. However, once this madness is over, we will be locking in a new date, so stay tuned. Thank you to everyone who has shared our event with your friends and family, we greatly appreciate your support. If you bought tickets, you will be receiving an email regarding what to do next. I shall leave you with something to laugh at.... because we need as much laughter as possible in times like these!
11.01.2022 This was the first in the webinar series recorded last week on Cover Letters (pre- fabulous haircut). I kicked off by welcoming Philippa Baker and Amanda Ewing to offer their expertise and opinions regarding writing a great cover letter. Philippa is a highly respected and successful recruiter in the travel industry who has read countless resumes and cover letters. Here, she tells it like it is and offers her ideas on how to stand out and what recruiters want to read.... Amanda is the owner of Wanderlust Resumes, a boutique brand offering travel industry professionals advice and packages to highlight their transferable skills in resumes and cover letters. She receives nothing but exceptional feedback for her work and really knows her stuff. It might be worth having a pen and paper ready to take notes, as they both share some really useful tips and tricks. Relevant Links: Find out more about Wanderlust Resumes for travel professionals: [email protected] www.wanderlustresumes.com I can be contacted at: [email protected] www.auridian.com.au If you find this useful, feel free to copy and share the link to the clip with anyone who might benefit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH6seQ1leQ4&feature=youtu.be
10.01.2022 If you live in Canberra, make sure you snap up some tickets for our event on the 25th March. Meg is bringing her daughter Emmy along to see her Mum in action!! https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/physiology-of-confidence-in
09.01.2022 I had a cracking chat this morning with some of my recruiter mates Kate Bartlett and Philippa Baker about what they look for in resumes and what will make yours stand out. Covering all topics from biggest turn offs, to what they focus most on when determining if you could be right for a role - there are plenty of light bulb moments and gems of wisdom. Questions include:... - What do you notice first and what makes you read on? - Photo or no photo? Colour or no colour? Word or pdf? - How far back should your professional history go? - What details should we include regarding referees? - Should we mention side gigs? - How much personal information is too much? If anyone I know needs a hand, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. It is public on YouTube so feel free to share with anyone else who might need some advice. 05.01.2022 I had to post this... it’s so silly but it made me laugh out loud. And I think we all need that right now.
