22.01.2022 Day 2 of 25 for 25. Doing a 25 push-ups for 25 days challenge to hopefully raise awareness for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety and depression. The RCUO and CDTRSM nominate 58 Army Cadet Unit - Carine - do a set of push-ups and then nominate another Unit!... Give it a crack. 25 days of pushups. The rules are simple: *Once you are nominated your 25 days starts the following day. *Record yourself doing 25 push-ups even if you have to drop to your knees to get 25 *Every day you must nominate a different person. Let's reach as many people as possible. Let's hope by doing this we can build awareness for anyone who is suffering from a mental illness, you are not alone and we are here for you. Don't be afraid to speak out!
22.01.2022 Day 5 Cadet Under Officer and Warrant Officer Course We have reached the halfway point of course and our candidates have been further progressing in their Cane and Sword drill. The course also competed in a drill calling competition to see who was not only the loudest, but the best at drill commands.... CDTSGT ABBOTT did very well and came second, but CDTSGT MAY from 59 ACU Rockingham took first place following a vote from their fellow course mates, well done CDTSGT MAY! To wrap up another great day the Cadet Under Officer and Warrant Course participated in another awesome PT session led by the Brigade RSM, Warrant Officer Class One WILLIAMS. Well done all, looking forward to tomorrow.
21.01.2022 You may have heard that you should sing Happy Birthday while washing your hands. Here at the WA AAC BDE, we don't do that. The BDERSM WO1 Williams demonstrates reciting The Ode by Laurence Binyon while washing his hands. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.... Lest we forget. See more

11.01.2022 DAY 6 Cadet Under Officer and Warrant Officer Course Today our CUO candidates spent the majority of their day conducting Command Post Exercises in which they learned how to assume the position of a Duty Officer. They successfully dealt with a variety of scenarios that required them to command a team of subordinates to rectify the situations. The Warrant Officer Course did what they do best, drill. They separated from the CUOs to work on their cane drill and learn how to pla...n a ceremonial activity. The entire course combined to finish the night with navigation revision. As the course nears its end the candidates continue to grow and embrace the opportunity to gain incredible new skills.

10.01.2022 DAY 7 Cadet Under Officer and Warrant Officer Course Today the CUO and WO course separated at the beginning of the day. Our CUOs completed their final sword drill lesson while the Warrant Officers course travelled to Irwin Barracks to complete their styre drill training. The CUOs began planning a formal activity along with learning flag and banner protocols for their own unit parades. They then set up their formal dinner for the entire course.... The WOs joined shortly after they finished their long day of drill. The entire course had a wonderful time at the formal dinner where we farewelled Major(AAC) Collidge from the AAC. Our cadet DS acted as stewards and served the course members, resulting in a lot of laughs. It was a successful night filled with delicious meals and enjoyable memories.
