19.01.2022 From Fr Andy - This year many families are doing it hard. Refugee families struggle to live day by day. Others are continually anxious about a roof over their head and where the next meal will come from. Others worry about how to pay mortgages, school fees and other expenses. And the many pressures under which families live will surely affect their relationships with one another.

18.01.2022 We’re looking forward to bringing you the winners of our Young Journalist Award later this month. In the meantime, one of our award sponsors, Seven Steps To Writing Success, is offering a brand-new live and interactive online training module for schools. Here’s a few words from them about why, especially at this time, it’s important to get students writing: It’s a strange time to be in the world. But moments of humanity and connectedness shine through. Even during lockdown. ...Teachers have put in every effort to sustain engagement and learning, despite the obstacles thrown at them. This includes keeping the writing classroom alive. Writing is a vital process for students to express their feelings and cope with anxiety or the changing world around them. Students and classrooms who are collaborating, contributing ideas and sharing their thoughts are more engaged and feel a stronger sense of belonging. Now more than ever, writing is such an important skill for students to learn and fall in love with. Seven Steps to Writing Success, Australia’s largest educator of writing literacy, is now offering a brand-new live and interactive online training. Made to fit around your busy schedule, you can learn how to create a vibrant writing classroom and see student engagement soar! https://bit.ly/SevenSteps-Find-Out-More
