23.01.2022 The final survey in the TICCSS study is now available for your viewing. Read all about it here http://ausccs.org.au/wp-cont//2021/08/TICCS_2021_wave6.pdf The report highlights the leadership of the community children’s services sector in implementing the quality reforms and achieving ratings of Exceeding the standards and of Excellent service. Services are exceeding the mandatory staff to child ratios and employing more qualified educators and teachers. They support their Educational Leaders and support increasing numbers of children and families experiencing vulnerability all while limiting fee increases.

22.01.2022 And the winner of the $500 voucher is (drum roll, please) Gowanbrae Children's Centre! A big thank you to all of the services that participated in this year's TICCS survey because of you, Australian Community Children's Services will have the evidence needed to put the big issues of our sector on the agenda in the halls of parliament

17.01.2022 ACCS has alerted the Senate to the strengths of the community early childhood sector that have sustained it through the pandemic when combined with the government business continuity payments. We also advised on the challenges alerted to us by our members and the significant variations across jurisdictions. We outlined the dangers of immediately returning to the previous funding arrangements and supported the transitional proposals developed by ECA in collaboration with ACCS and other national peak bodies. Check out our submission here http://ausccs.org.au/wp-cont/uploads//06/2020055xx-Sub.pdf

12.01.2022 Thank you to all ACCS members who alerted ACCS to concerns about the government's transition support package and supplied case studies. The attached letter went to Minister Dan Tehan MP recently. ACCS urges the government to revise the early childhood transition support package to: enable more flexibility in its application once family intentions are known continue JobKeeper support to management in all service types... remove the activity test for all families while parental engagement with work is fragile at least until the end of 2020 See more

11.01.2022 Not-for-profit children’s services, we need your help! 2020 may go down as the most challenging year ever, but we know services like yours worked hard to ensure that quality was not lost along the way. That’s why we want to make sure that the Department and government value the high-quality practices you provide. But we don’t have enough survey responses... Your participation is a vital ingredient. Will you add your voice to the survey and help us target key decision-maker...s as they consider funding and policy changes? Please complete this survey by 5pm Sunday 14 February: tinyurl.com/y56ppdvf What the Department said about the previous survey report: "[The report] is very impressive... The findings will be of both interest and help to the Department." P.S. Add your voice to the survey for your chance to win $500 of new equipment and art supplies! See more
