24.01.2022 A huge thank you to ANSTO for inviting the #ASC2020 conference delegates to a private tour of the Australian Synchrotron - Australias very own particle accelerators, where were accelerating particles to 99.9999985% of the speed of light - they become probabilistic. Its insane that we can actually get this to work. The light generated is a billion times brighter than the sun! Scientists come from all around the world to use the facilities, running over 1000 experiments every year. 04.01.2022 Earlier in the conference we had the great pleasure of awarding the 2019 Unsung Hero of Science Communication Award to (drum roll please) Dr Jenny Martin. We gave her the night to recover then grabbed her for a few words about science communication and the different ways that she gets to engage. Congratulations once again Jen!

03.01.2022 Another exciting announcement from the ASC conference today. Weve just inducted Jenni Metcalfe as a life member of the ASC. Jenni was kind enough to give us a minute of her time and tell us a bit about her time with the ASC - and we also hope were paying that membership for many more years to come. Thankyou Jenni for all that you bring to our organisation, and congratulations #ASC2020 #scicomm #congratulations
