I will be building a drop shipping website that is dedicated to Australian Products. For those of you who may not be familiar with drop shipping it is when manufacturers and online businesses come together in a partnership to join skills to sell the manufacturers products online and share the costs to bring down pricing. The marketing is driven by Google Shopping Adds. Drop Shipping traditionally has been a China Based Model, selling products from Ali Express (Chinese Goods) etc through websites that promote themselves from their established locations and countries. They are based in those locations, however the products usually come out of China making it near impossible for manufacturers in western counties to compete. We as Australians have embraced this model with open arms and it has served us well. The success of the model has come from ridiculously low product prices, and as we can now see, our want for such low cost goods has not served us as well as we first thought and has locked in to China, this has come at our own detriment. Countries are already considering how to uncouple from China and their incredible reliance of their goods. We will be building the site with only Australian made Products. These will be for sale in Australia initially and then we will expand to sell internationally. It will be a big ask to make it work so we will need manufacturers to get behind us. Most of all we will need all Australians to support the project. Please do not be price driven when you start to shop with us after our launch. We will not be able to compete on pricing with our Asian friends and manufacturers. Hence if we continue to be driven on price we are wasting our time launching and may as well give up, but that is not the Australian way. Our manufacturing will continue to decline till there is none left . Australian small businesses generally are family businesses that work hard and are decent folk trying to make an honest living. They produce sensational products in all aspects. This includes wine, coffee, cheese and honey. These are just a few of the many on offer. These business owners usually have a huge commitment to their business, working very long hours and carrying large debt usually against their family home and have a massive task to stay afloat. Lets get behind each other and our country, show our Australian spirit and our go get em attitude.
