25.01.2022 Are you considering outdoor dance classes in the next 2 weeks?

24.01.2022 Susan R. Koff (Chair, Dance and the Child International) is publishing a new book this January, and offering a wonderful reduced rate to the daCi USA community!... The book,Dance Education: A Redefinition, places dance education at the foundation of a well-rounded education. Re-examining the very definition of dance education, this book expands on traditional frameworks of dance pedagogy to consider new concepts, such as gaining self-knowledge through dance as a medium to engage in the world. Visit the daCi USA News page (link in bio) for a more detailed abstract of the book AND for information on how to pre-order and snag this great deal! #daCi #daCiUSA #danceed #book #scholar #selfknowledge #earlybird #preorder #danceeducationforall #wellrounded #engage #creativedance

16.01.2022 It's a pity that dance studios are not mentioned directly in this SA Gov infographic, however given that dance studios have followed the same restrictions as gyms since the beginning of Covid, we can assume that dance studios are to close for 2 weeks. Below is my personal opinion: I think we can expect that if in the next few days we have very low or no new cases of community transmission, then we can expect to be able re-open in 2 weeks (1st of December). ... But if we see a constant level of new community transmission cases over the next week or so, I'm afraid the restrictions could be extended. Fingers crossed. Thoughts? Regards Sebastien

13.01.2022 Police Commissioner confirms that normal dance classes can commence as of midnight at 25:50 in the video. You will get your updated CovidSAFE plan emailed to you soon. That will have details on your density requirements. At the moment it appears it will be 1 per 4msq until the 1st of December, when it will revert back to 1 per 2msq. But always go by what is on your latest CovidSAFE plan.... And please continue practising as much social distancing as practically possible.

04.01.2022 Dance studios to close for 2 weeks. More details to come.
