24.01.2022 Alisa from @melbourneballetco shares her favourite memory of VET Dance, the story behind this STUNNING image. "We had a photo shoot for the Melbourne Ballet Company with photographer Meredith O’Shea and I took several of our beautiful professional ballerinas to the diving pool at MSAC to do a water photo shoot for our ’Scarce Resources season. Unfortunately the dancers were less comfortable diving in costume and holding their breath under water than they are on a stage and... the photo shoot did not go as planned. That night I had my VET dance theory class and asked who is a great swimmer and good at diving? Two of my students put up their hand, Lily Skelton and Millie Grant. The next day I went back to MSCA diving pool with the VET dancers instead of the company dancers and got the most incredible series of stunning photos. We we went on to use them for the Scarce Resources season and have them proudly framed in the studio." Have favourite moments from your time in VET Dance? Share them with us as we celebrate 20 years as an RTO! #DanceEducation #YouthDance #20YearsStrong #AusDance #Dance #BeautifulMoments #gaywightmanschoolofballet #melbourneballetcompany
