20.01.2022 $60 a year to organise your life would you spend it? We really want to know if you personally would pay $60 a year to have your life organised please advise us only with a like, we wont contact you unless you ask us to, we just want a small survey. So what do we organise? well you have your own 'active' portal which has military grade security and is accessed via a user name and password. What could you put in it? Well the answer is anything providing it does not exceed a G...igabyte of storage (you can buy more of course). Our thoughts as examples were Rego, with auto renewal alert, insurance on the car, home, boat caravan and auto alerts, your last will and testament, all the emails from providers you need to do your tax return, your tax returns, store for the seven years and then delete as appropriate. important birthday reminders, be they personal or work based, web addresses with hyperlinks direct to the sites you need such as RMS, the Tax office etc. Birth, marriage certs. plans for your home, crypto investments etc etc etc. we welcome your thoughts the service we are thinking of launching is 'ezecomply personal' If you have other ideas for inclusions please send a message and let us know.....please share this with your networks

In lock down it was obvious we started and finished all those odd jobs that really did need completion at home, however did you start and complete all those items that needed completion in the workplace, it seems to us many of these are still outstanding. Like ensuring your company policies are up to date with items covering areas such as Acceptable IT use (many employees now working at home), Social Media use policy, harassment and bullying po...licy to name but three....we have a FREE policy checklist of the most used policies https://lnkd.in/gHqPASb Check what you have against the list also they are priced at only $44 +gst each....... we even offer an auto employee alerting, reminder and acceptance system to ensure compliance awareness for only $180 year one which includes training and reduces to $60 p/a thereafter. Hope this helps a little to complete some of those business tasks that need attention.

12.01.2022 New rules for annual wage arrangements. Fairwork Ombudsman On 12 February 2020, the Fair Work Commission (the Commission) made determinations external-icon.png that added new rules about annualised wage arrangements (also known as annual wage arrangements) in the Horticulture external-icon.png and Pastoral external-icon.png Awards and changed the existing rules for the following awards:... Banking, Finance and Insurance Award Broadcasting Award Clerks Award external Contract Call Centres Award Hydrocarbons Industry (Upstream) Award Legal Award Local Government Manufacturing Award Mining Award Oil Refining and Manufacturing Award Pharmacy Award Rail Award Salt Award Telecommunications Award Water Award Wool Award. The new rules start from the first full pay period on or after 1 March 2020. 09.01.2022 Getting more from your accountant Most SME businesses engage the assistance of an accounting firm to assist with Tax returns and maybe quarterly BAS returns as well. what if you could also get the following from them as well - 1) Access to a virtual HR Manager Mon-Fri 9-5 pm with as many phone calls or emails as necessary covering Awards / HR and IR 2) Access to one of the most authoritative on-line stores of legal documentation covering Business and all facets of HR with n...o memberships or subscriptions 3) A Partner of the accounting firm reviewing your Xero /MYOB or any other accounting software programme and providing a one or two para commentary on your business every month to either ensure you are on track, or assist in helping you get back on track and also saving you the time of printing, viewing and deciphering the mass of available reports. Many SME businesses are reluctant to engage a lawyer to help them with HR related matters for fear of the cost that will inevitably follow, therefore the first port of call on many occasions is to their accountant to see what guidance they can offer as they are already paying them a fee for service. However, Accountants/ Partners cannot give any legal advice and therefore on most occasions the problem although maybe pending and urgent remains unresolved. Following a survey of 500+ SME businesses with a turnover of between $0.5 and $10 mill, 78% responded that knowing how their business was performing and help in mitigating any issues was a service they would be happy to pay for. Many accounting firms in the region already provide these services in conjunction with a company called AusDocsOnline.com If your accounting firm as yet, does not offer these services you have two avenues you can follow a) Talk to your accounting firm and ask for them to look into this service for you b) Or access both 1 and 2 above directly in the meantime, by accessing AusDocsOnline.com and in the search box either typing virtual HR or just search for the document you want like i) employment contract, ii) sale of business, iii) Social media policy etc. etc. There is even a service which includes all the appropriate legal paperwork together with a hand hold over the phone and or email to assist with exiting employees for either poor performance, Gross misconduct or redundancy, again just type any of the above in the search box of AusDocs and off you go. Plus, for those that really need a lawyer there are 15 min fixed fee consultations available as well. The horror stories are out there the most recent example being Bunnings who were underpaying staff and this went back 10 years! Dont be caught out, ensure a greater level of compliance, and yes, as a small business you can have an HR manager on call and on email for just $1,750 a year.this has to be the most cost effective service available to SME businesses. 07.01.2022 Personal/Carers Leave Accrual - High Court Decision The Decision Explained Employees are entitled to 10 ‘notional days’ leave per year; however the duration of a ‘day’ is determined by identifying 1/10th of an employee’s ordinary hours over a two week period (which equates to 1/26th of their total ordinary hours over the course of a year). Example: For a full-time employee working 38 hours a week and 72 hours a fortnight, they would accrue 1 x 7.6-hour day of personal leave e...ach fortnight. Over the course of a year, an employee would accrue 76 hours of leave. For a part-time employee working 20 hours a week and 40 hours a fortnight, they would also accrue one day each fortnight, but that day would have a value of four hours, as opposed to 7.6 hours. Over the course of a year, the part-time employee would accrue 40 hours of leave. For shift workers working varied patterns of work across fortnights or months, the Court said employers can determine the value of ‘a day’ by identifying 1/26th of the employee’s ordinary hours over the course of a whole year. This enables the parties to ignore weekly or monthly variations in rosters and assess the total hours of work as a whole. 04.01.2022 Protect your small business during COVID-19 As many Australian businesses begin to reopen and return to business-as-usual, some businesses continue to deal with and respond to the financial impact of COVID-19. Some small businesses may be adversely affected and owed money by other businesses, particularly in industries impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown period.... The instability created by COVID-19 means its more vital than ever to protect your interests when dealing with other businesses. To minimise the risk of your small business being adversely affected by the closure of other SMEs, ASIC recommends taking steps before you engage with another business: Ask the right questions that will help you to obtain further information.
