17.01.2022 Emergency job sorted. This unknowing customer had an issue with their main switch and thankfully no one or anything was seriously damaged. This electrical board hasnt been checked in years and as a result the main switch has burnt the cables due to having a hot spot from loose terminals. Gone of the days "if it aint broke dont fix it" we live in a ever changing world which evolves with technology and is really important that we do regular checks. 13.01.2022 Another day and another happy customer. This lovely customer had a switchboard which was in desperate need of attention. Old ceramic fuses mixed with asbestos panels and a faulty earthing system. It is extremely important to ensure your switchboard has safety switches to protect your home and more importantly everyone in it. The earthing system works in sync with the safety switches to ensure any faults travel direct to earth and not leak throughout the house. In the process... of upgrading, the customer decided that it would be convenient and easier to have the board inside the house. We relocated all circuits into the study and left the meter and main switch on the outside with a completely new switchboard and renewed earthing and installed a new earth stake. 07.01.2022 Customer was unaware how bad their switchboard was and was shocked to find the house wasnt earthed properly which is one of the most dangerous situations you can face. The earthing system provides a path for the current to travel under fault conditions. If there was a fault in the house, the amount of current produced is so high it can kill you so you would want that current to travel directly to earth. Another factor was the switchboard was in bad condition and with no sa...fety switches so the customers decided to relocate the switchboard as the walkway was too narrow.
