01.01.2022 . " ". . # . ... . This week we remember with great sadness the ISIL attack on Sinjar six years ago. Yesterday the Australian Ambassador was honoured to deliver remarks at the Commemoration ‘Bridging the Gap between Terror and Humanity’, hosted by Yazda and The Zovighian Partnership. Australia is pleased to have supported both the resettlement of Yazidi survivors in Australia and recovery efforts for communities in Sinjar. We are also pleased to support the work of #UNITAD to investigate the perpetrators of these crimes. It is imperative we all work together to allow the dignified and safe return of people to their homeland, free from persecution.
