20.01.2022 The Australian Embassy visit to the Eastern Province and Bahrain to provide passport and notarial services is going ahead. We are planning on being in Manama Bahrain on Tuesday 10 November and in Al Khobar on the afternoon of Monday 9 November. If you require passport and/or notarial services please contact the Embassy via email at [email protected]. Please provide your name, contact number and the services you require as soon as possible. An officer from the Embassy will then follow up with you to arrange the appointment and discuss requirements. The deadline for scheduling appointments is 12pm on Sunday 8 November.

13.01.2022 Today at our embassy we honoured the first female Australian Ambassador in the Middle East, the late Victoria Owen, by naming a room in the embassy after her. Here is a video of the Ambassador’s speech today celebrating the life of Victoria Owen, her trailblazing legacy and that of other female pioneers in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

13.01.2022 The Ambassador had a productive few days of meetings in Makkah and Madinah, including with Governor of Madinah HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman, President of the Islamic University HH Prince Mamdouh bin Saud bin Thunayan, Minister for Hajj and Umrah HE Dr Benten, Undersecretary of the Presidency of the Masjid Al-Nabawi HE Sheikh Al-Khudairy, Head of the Tawafa establishment Tariq Anqwi, and the Royal Commission for Makkah and the Holy Sites.

12.01.2022 Covid-19 Alert - Saudi Arabia On 4 February, Saudi authorities announced the implementation of new measures to stop the spread of Covid-19 in the Kingdom. The measures include the suspension of indoor sports and entertainment, the closure of in house dining at restaurants and cafes, and the limitation of social gatherings to 20 people.
