21.01.2022 Watch Ambassador Michael Cutts' first video message to our Facebook fans
18.01.2022 Last week, Ambassador Cutts had the pleasure of being hosted by Karim Laghmich, CEO of SAEDM for a visit of the future site of the Mazagan City Center (http://www.saedm.ma/en/). He learned and observed firsthand how this, world class new city project near El Jadida, was progressing towards obtaining the Australian Green Star label (https://new.gbca.org.au/). The Green Star label focuses on 5 major criteria: ... Reducing the impact of climate change, Improving the quality of life and health, Restoring and protecting the ecosystem and biodiversity, Building resilience and improvements, Contribution to market transformation and a sustainable economy. Ambassador Cutts was impressed by the scope and creativity of the project and wishes it all the best in its realisation between now and 2034. They shared different perspectives for further collaboration between Australia and OCP Group. The many eucalypt trees combined with the surf and sand was a great reminder of home, too!

We examined opportunities for further collaboration and our countries’ respective visions for a clean, innovative, safe and competitive hydrogen industry. AMEE is also keeping a close eye on other major renewable energy projects in Australia.

05.01.2022 Today marks International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and the first day of #16Days of Activism on gender-based violence. Australia joins partners around the world, to support UN Women’s calls for collective efforts to promote approaches to violence against women and girls, which ‘Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect.’ Moroccan civil society organisations are also condemning violence against women as part of the international 16 days of activism against ge...nder-based violence campaign. The Tahadi Association for Equality and Citizenship (ATEC) is focusing especially on digital forms of abuse and harassment. Now, more than ever, coming together to end violence against women and girls, is key to creating a more gender-equal world and inclusive societies for all. Watch Australia's Ambassador for Gender Equality, Julie-Ann Guivarra's video message on this occasion
05.01.2022 There’s no better way to start off the week than with a piece of good news, so here’s an article about how Australia is reimagining the future of plastics! Each year, 90 billion tonnes of primary materials are extracted and used globally for plastics, with only nine per cent recycled. The Plastic Mission is a @CSIRO program that uses science and technology to address the issue of plastics waste. 01.01.2022 In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, physical distance has been exacerbated by lockdowns and travel restrictions. It is however, always refreshing when that distance bridged by artists such as Australia’s very own Cat Wilson.
