02.01.2022 Sally Downie does not do things by halves! Currently studying a Bachelor of Agriculture at Charles Sturt, Sally has been named Agriculture Student of the Year ...at the Kondinin Group and ABC Rural Australian Farmer of the Year Awards. Coming from a farming background, Sally discovered another side to farming when she began her university degree, the silent suffering and devastation of mental illness. This inspired Sally to start Grassroots Blueprint, an initiative that hosts small events in her region to promote mental health awareness. Her own struggles with mental health and difficulty obtaining treatment prompted her to ensure others in regional NSW get the care they need. We are sure that this wont be the last you will hear of Sally as she is one of those people who is always looking for ways to make life and the world around us a better place. #lovingag #csuagwinescience #nextgen #ausfarmerawards #grassrootsblueprint
