Robert Connolly is the writer a...nd director of the feature films The Bank, Three Dollars, Balibo, Paper Planes, and The Slap. He is the producer, together with his business partner John Maynard, of the award-winning films, The Boys and Romulus, My Father (starring Eric Bana and Franke Potente), and the Gallipoli mini-series. As a producer, Robert’s first feature film, The Boys, had it's world premiere In Competition at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1998 and was nominated for thirteen Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards including Best Film. Since then, Robert has garnered many awards for his work as a writer, producer, and director. He has won four AFI awards for screenwriting for The Bank, Three Dollars, Balibo, and Paper Planes and in 2007 Romulus, My Father, which he co-produced with John Maynard, won four AFI Awards including Best Film. The Ozflix FAQ series brings together some of Australia's most legendary actors and filmmakers for an in-depth interview about their career, their craft, their views on the future of the industry... and more. 12.01.2022 Leading Australian actor and Producer Claudia Karvan has today agreed to join our new AFFF Ambassador program. We are thrilled! Claudia will help us in the campaign to raise $10 million to digitise 1000 classic Australian films, for future generations to enjoy. We are very grateful to Claudia for her support.

12.01.2022 Jocelyn Moorhouse has released a string of modern Australian classics including The Dressmaker 2015 (writer, director) and Muriel's Wedding 1994 (producer), and she knows full well the importance of film preservation. Her early feature Proof 1991 recently received funding for a complete restoration through an NFSA crowdfunding campaign and now she's throwing her support behind the Australian Film Future Foundation. https://vimeo.com/178410586

We will approach philanthropic trusts, private donors and corporations in the new year to get the ball rolling.
