15.01.2022 Did you know that we offer a great range of Certified Organic Honey? So, what exactly does it mean for honey to be organic? To be officially certified organic, hives must be made from organic materials and only exposed to environments which are organic. And we must use organic beekeeping techniques in the production of the honey. ... Hive sites have to be regularly audited to meet a stringent checklist of requirements to ensure certification, including not being within a 5km radius of all farms & agricultural land that dont use organic methods. Even the diet of the honey bees themselves needs to be monitored and certified organic. See more

14.01.2022 What an honour! There were some very deserving nominees in this category, and we are delighted with our win! A lot of hard work goes into the honey that we produce and we really want to thank all of our employees, without them we couldnt possibly achieve all that we do. And of course thanks to the #TasmanianCommunityAchievementAwards!

06.01.2022 Just because we could all do with a laugh at the moment

05.01.2022 The drought and recent bushfires in Australia have had a significant impact on the beekeeping industry as a whole. However it is not fully known yet how deep the impact will be. With thousands of acres of flora lost, and undoubtedly thousands of bee hives, the repercussions will be wide felt for both beekeepers and consumers. Whilst we in Tasmania have not been subjected to the devastation of the bushfires experienced on the mainland, the drought has severely impacted our hon...ey production. Our thoughts and well wishes go to those who have been so deeply affected by these unprecedented and tragic events. Beekeeping also provides a vital role in both agriculture and forestry. In agriculture it provides pollination for crops such as canola and lucerne, fruits such as berries and almonds, vegetables such as pumpkin, zucchini and many more. The pollination in agriculture is far ranging and essential to our entire survival. So what can you do to help? We have put together a list of a couple of everyday changes you can implement to assist. And of course, education is the key! So support a local beekeeper today and have a chat to them about what else you can do in your local area. See more
