01.01.2022 Please share; A friend's wife received a call from unknown number. The guy told her that he was calling from Australian Tax Office in Canberra. She was told that she has evaded tax in the previous years and would be fined heavily. She can start paying straightway in an account number give to her. She further was given this 02 6152 8647, after depositing the money. We called that number to confirm. A guy picked the phone and greet the call as 'Australian Tax Department. When I told him to give details about him. He refused. I told him that he is a fraud and we would report to police. He just hung up. Please be careful, if you receive any such call, don't panic and deposit money in any account it is a fraud.
