22.01.2022 Don’t fear failure. Not failure, but low aim, is the crime. In great attempts, it is glorious even to fail. Bruce Lee Are you afraid of failure? If so, you’...re not the only one. Fear of failure prevents many people from taking action, and as a result, reduces their potential success in life. I have to admit, as a young man, I suffered from a fear of failure which manifested in severe procrastination. In my mid-twenties I took the first step in overcoming my fears and made the first investment in myself. I purchased a Self Development program that absolutely changed my life. It cost me a bomb at the time and I just couldn’t afford itI didn’t have the money, but I intuitively knew I had to do it to change my life, so I took out a credit card to pay for the program. Talk about being committedI didn’t realise it at the time but that was an act of courage and commitment by me, and a most powerful one which I benefited from, and still do to this very day. The question is, can anyone really succeed without failing? Failing first, is not a prerequisite for success, but most successful people will tell you that they have failed numerous times, only to get up and try again and eventually achieve their goal. Sometimes the best way to learn is through failure. When you fail, you learn. And when you fail big, you learn big. So be courageous, aim high, aim for excellence and if you fall short of your goal, that’s finetry againthe Universe rewards courage and commitmentbut be sure to understand, the Universe will test your resolve first. My saying is Fear Nothing But Fear Itself.

I have recently been handed an interesting challenge and found the above quote very timely...thought it worth sharing with my friends... It's easy to make excuses and feel like giving upit’s a default most people automatically switch to, when life deals them a challenging hand...but that default doesn’t help us. If we don’t become very aware of this automatic default, we end up languishing in self-pity and inaction.
