21.01.2022 Hi everyone, we are getting closer to the 2020 season kicking off and the club still needs a replacement Coordinator. My son is heading to under 9’s and not participating in AK. Please contact me ASAP if you can volunteer for this very easy and rewarding job. Heaps of support provided by me, AFL and the junior footy club.... 07.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I hope the kids have all had a great year at AK this year. Friday the 16th August will be our final session for 2019. We have arranged some fun activities for all who attend (bring the family) and we will provide a free BBQ on the night.... The weather looks like it might not be pleasant tomorrow night and due to this we will not run the BBQ as we might need to cancel the session. This being said We won't make the call until the very last minute so please prepare to attend. The Junior club have again invited us to attend the clubrooms on Sunday September 8th from 8:30am - 10Am for our presentations. We will run short sessions by grade to make sure we give all the kids the chance to get an award. more details for this will be sent out soon. As we come to a close for the year we need to think about next year now. I would like to thank all who have helped support the club. Coaches, cooks and parents have all done such an amazing job this year so well done! The program simply cannot run without the support of volunteers who can help with coaching, BBQ and Coordinating. If you are planning on coming back in 2020 and would be able to help out can you please let me know in response to this message? I would like to have some possible names for a parent or parents who could possibly share the Coordinator role (In case my circumstances change and I can't continue) as well as some coaches who might be interested in arranging the sessions each week and setting up the field before the sessions start. If this sounds like something you can do please let me know. there is a full support structure and it is very rewarding. I have thoroughly enjoyed 2019 and look forward to the final sessions. 05.01.2022 Good morning everyone, Don't forget that AK presentation day is this Sunday September 8th. The GB Footy club has invited us to use the clubrooms from 8:30am - 10:00am before they start presentations. To make the morning run smoothly we will divide the kids into groups by time. You are welcome to stay as long as you like but the times are...... 8:30 - 9:00 Prep 9:00 - 9:30 Grade 1 9:30 - 9:45 Kinder, Grade 2, 3 & 4 9:45 - 10:00 Recognition and close. Please arrive 15minutes before your grade to allow us to have a prompt start. We will call the kids up one by one, have a minute for photos and then move onto the next grade. 05.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope the start of term one has been fun and the kids are all enjoying being back school! It's time to put the "hard word" so to speak on all of you that are re-registering this year for Auskick to think about helping out as volunteer.... We need parents to volunteer in order for the GK Auskick to run in 2020. Without your help we may not be able to field an auskick centre. Literally! We desperately need a new Coordinator! - this position can be done by more than one person and can be shared between 2 or 3 parents. Alternatively, one person can take it on, like we did. It really wasnt that much effort, and we are able to guide you through it. The AFL also provide plenty of support with training sessions as well as a dedicated Area Manager & Team Leader to help where you need it. Lead by example, and put your hand up to help out our little Auskick Centre. Please contact us & let us know if you are keen to volunteer for any of the above roles, or if you have any questions at all & we will be happy to chat with you at any time. 03.01.2022 Dear Auskick families. With direction from the NFNL today both the junior football club and GK Auskick have had to take precautionary measures in the form of postponing all Auskick sessions until further notice. The NFNL have said the following in relation to senior and junior football...... A collective decision has been made to postpone all community senior and junior football and winter-season netball competitions until the weekend of Saturday, May 2, 2020. Therefore Glen Katherine Auskick will postpone sessions until further notice / clearance from the junior club and leagues. Stay tuned for further updates as they become available.
