13.01.2022 There's no other way to put it... Many of our members are now in the fight of their lives. With zero revenue, operating costs set to rise and the prospect of live music at viable numbers in most states still a long way off, many business may not make it through. JobKeeper/Seeker will (whilst reduced) support many sole traders and bigger businesses who have the reserves to withstand extended periods without revenue but with no other support from Government we are concerned that many small businesses will just not not make it through... what will this mean for the overall Australian music industry...??

06.01.2022 Some positive news emerging from the west today with the WA Government announcing an increase in venue capacity to 75 per cent from Monday but patrons must be seated. However, If the 'two square metre rule' is greater than 75 per cent capacity, the greater option will be permitted for venues and events. ALMBC urges venues across the State to read the new restrictions and requirements online now or talk to WA Health directly to ensure you are compliant before increasing crowd numbers.

The ALMBC was among around 500 individuals and organisations that provided written submissions to the inquiry - ALMBC will also speak at the next round of public hearings in early December.
